which outdoor boots to buy?

This summer, Karmina, my old colleague, and her boyfriend are planning to go on an outdoor trip. They have been saving up for it for months now. However, Karmina still needs a pair of shoes… which makes this information really valuable for me because I have no idea what to give her this Christmas.
My friend Alvin, a camper addict, suggested I buy her a Converse Hiking Boots or a LaCrosse Hunting Boots. I’m not that familiar with the specs and designs of good outdoor boots though. It’s a good thing I saw an online boots store, metboots.com, which offers gift certificates. I’ll just give her one of those $100 GCs so she can have her own pick online and of course ensure that she’ll get to avail of their free shipping on items over $100.
