Vegetarian restaurant just opened!

Written on Wednesday, 1 of September, 2010 at 12:34 pm

Time went by so fast during my week long vacation that I did not even notice the newly opened restaurant beside the office. To think that just last week that same spot where the restaurant was built still was an empty parking lot. It is really amazing how fast engineers build steel buildings
these days. It was built like a large tent, with steel frame and probably synthetic roofing. No wonder it suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

My friends and I checked out the restaurant earlier at lunch. The food was great, especially the salads. And best of all, everything was half the price! (Grand opening). One thing I have noticed in their menu is, all the veggies are fresh. The cabbage and lettuce looked like they were just hand-picked the same day. We had the chance to speak with the owner and she bragged that their veggies are “organic”. What she meant by “organic” is that the veggies are free from pesticides and were harvested from their own farm.

Since I am one of those health freaks who love veggies, this restaurant seemed like heaven to me. My friends by the way did not enjoy the meal. This is because they prefer having heavy lunch, steaks and all, rather than just salads and dips. Well… that’s their problem. hehe
