on military and fashion

Having lived in two different military camps for more than 20 years, I must admit that I used to turn my nose down on people, civilians in particular, who are going for the “military look” by accessorizing themselves with camouflage shirts or cargo pants, and the like. They tend to look like posers.
After seeing some vintage looking military shoulder bags and really classic camouflage clothing, I decided to reverse my opinion. With the right design and/or cut, and tasteful mix and match, military stuff can actually look fashionable.
