on being funny and witty

Window shopping on a nearby mall, I saw this large, peculiar text on an ad that read, “Learn to be Funny”. One eyebrow raised, I peered closely and just below it are some tips on “How to be Funny” and “How to be Witty.”

It’s interesting to know that there are people who actually want to be funny. Witty, I’d understand, but funny?! Then again, as the 1947 movie goes, “It Pays to Be Funny”. Consider this, we all love people who make us laugh. And on occurrences like Public Speeches and a tense gathering or meeting, adding humor is very advantageous because it actually breaks down barriers so that your audience is more open to your tips and ideas.

Thus, being able to be really funny is a massive advantage in life. Do keep in mind that being funny isn’t the same as acting funny.
