The Best Gift I had yet

Written on Friday, 27 of January, 2012 at 5:48 am

Early today, a very large package arrived at home. It was packed in a large box and even Mom had no idea what it is. To my surprise, it was from my brother who was in Europe. I had not heard from him since Thanksgiving because I was not home to chat with him last Christmas. No one in the family knows what that is.

I was a bit worried to open the package. It was addressed to my Mom but my name is written on the box itself. Worried, I called up my brother. My brother answered the phone and said, “are you calling because you received an insanely large package from me?”. It turned out it was a late Christmas gift for me. The shipment got delayed because of weather conditions.

Anyhow, drum rolls then I opened the package. It was a full sized keyboard! And not just any keyboard, but a dave smith! I was so happy and worried at the same time. I could not touch it at first. It was so shiny and so new. I felt like I was not worth it. Until now I still haven’t got the words to say thank you to my brother. Oh this is such a wonderful gift. I have always wanted one of these.

The right accessory

Written on Monday, 10 of January, 2011 at 9:22 am

Ever since the holiday season started, I have been looking for great deals involving Ipod accessories.

You see, since I bought my iPod, I bought the first cheap protective cover I could find, and intended to buy a better one that is more suited to my needs and taste in the near future.

Since I have such a busy schedule, I was not able to find one that I quite liked, and I did not exactly have the time to go on a journey for one, either.

I was looking for a minimalist and black or grey cover, but most of the designs nowadays are much too grand for my tastes.

If you have any accessories to recommend that are applicable to any of the things I have mentioned above, feel free to leave a note!

Texas Maritime Lawyers

Written on Tuesday, 26 of October, 2010 at 3:53 am

Being the second biggest state located at the south-central portion of US, Texas is well known for making sure its employees are well taken care of. The state makes sure that sound working conditions are provided to all. This also covers maritime employees.

Texas Maritime lawyers also consider state labor laws like the ones below whenever applicable:

1. Texas Minimum Wage Act: An employee in Texas should receive federal minimum wage amounting to 5.15USD per hour, according to the fair labor standards act.

2. Discrimination; Race, nationality, religion and age are just a few of things thatemployers usually use as basis for discrimination. In Texas, discrimination of whatever basis is prohibited by law.

3. Employee’s hand book: Employment rules should be clear to the employee, and these rules should be written in a handbook, issued to the employee upon employment and to be surrendered to the employee upon end of service.

4. Safety of workplace. No employee should be subjected to dangerous and hazardous workplace. If work includes dealing with dangerous and hazardous chemicals or wastes, proper protection gear must be provided.

These are only a few of the state labor laws applicable in Texas.

Pre thanksgiving party with friends

Written on Friday, 15 of October, 2010 at 7:55 pm

Stressful days like this calls for some relaxation and fun. And what could be more fun than outdoor grilled burgers with friends and a Big Bang Theory marathon? Yep, it seems to be the only thing making me laugh nowadays. Good thing I bought the dvd collection from ebay last week. And so I invited my friends over. They’ll be here later around 7 just in time for dinner. They’ll be bringing the food and I’ll be in charge of beer and entertainment. They don’t drink much because most of them have jobs for health care. I think they have a policy against alcoholism in their company. Anyhow, tonight will be a sort of advanced thanksgiving party for us friends since most of us will be having thanksgiving with their families on that day.

Looks like I’m already set up for later’s event. I’m so tired so I think I’ll get a nap so that I’ll have more energy later. I think my work can wait anyway. I wonder if you guys also do this with friends? Usually, thanksgivings are celebrated in clubs here in the city. Yet I still prefer the old traditional way.

On Diamond Knowledge

Written on Saturday, 18 of September, 2010 at 11:15 pm

My brother and I talked about diamonds earlier this morning as we were eating breakfast. I knew that one thing to determine if a diamond is fake is to submerge it in water. If it still shines, then it is real.

Apparently, that wasn’t the only way to determine it. My brother taught me about the existence of laboratory produced diamonds. To determine if they are laboratory produced or natural, check if bubbles exist. If they do, they’re genuine.

Wow, I didn’t really think I could actually learn something useful from daily conversations with my siblings! I want to know more about loose diamonds, though. I find diamonds brilliant, and knowing the difference between diamonds can be very useful at some point in your life.

Do you have any tips or tricks to share with everyone? Feel free to comment!

On and on with the pills

Written on Sunday, 4 of July, 2010 at 11:23 am

It’s time to talk about pills again!

Let’s take the adipex diet pill as an example.

This is quite a popular brand name that is often mistaken for amphetamine. It is not amphetamine, people! It’s just an appetite suppresant that exists to treat or prevent obesity.

With the various pills out in the market, taking time to review each one of them would be the best thing to do before deciding on which one to buy and trust your health with.

Our bodies have different reactions to chemicals that we’re exposed to, and a little trial and error would help if done with precaution.

Reminiscing..

Written on Monday, 6 of July, 2009 at 2:53 am

As my friend Nica and I were talking earlier today, reminiscing about things, I couldn’t help but wonder how she lost so much weight. She was teased by other girls on our class when we were young because she was what you call horizontally challenged. I felt bad for her when I was young so I approached her and talked to her and we became friends.

We haven’t seen each other for about two years now since we graduated and I invited her to drink coffee since I missed her so. I ended up asking what was on my mind: How did you lose so much weight?

She told me that she read Decaslim reviews and heard many good things about it so she decided to try it, it worked, and well, my story ends here.

The Traveling Shopper

Written on Wednesday, 29 of April, 2009 at 8:25 am

I was heading for San Francisco when my friend called out of the blue. She said I have to get her some HGH products. I asked what on earth that was for and she said that she’d test every f-ing pill that there is on the planet that will help her gain a few more inches. I told her, she’s way past the growing stage already but she kept on insisting that this was it. So before even hitting the Castro District I actually looked for the damned products that she was looking for.

I haven’t even paid for it when my aunt called and started giving me her list of stuff that I should get for her. I guess this is what traveling is all about.

Still more diet pills

Written on Friday, 21 of November, 2008 at 2:31 pm

Have you heard of Leptovox? I hear that it’s a pretty good product. If you don’t know what it is, it is one of the many diet pills available today.

If you’re wondering why I’m actually talking about nothing but diet pills, it’s because most of my friends are looking for diet pills, and I have nothing to recommend them, ’cause, well, I don’t need any.

I’ve been surfing the net for the perfect diet pill to recommend them, and I still don’t have any ideas. This is where you get to comment about the product that I posted about if you have experiences regarding this pill.

June Weddings

Written on Thursday, 26 of June, 2008 at 3:10 pm

It’s the month where most weddings happen in the year! They say that June is the best month in the year to get married. Do you ever wonder why? I’ve read in a book that it’s the month where the Romans pay reverence to Juno, the goddess of marriage so they claimed that marrying in June would be lucky since you might have a chance of Juno giving you a blessing of some sort.

I’ve been invited to a lot of weddings as a bridesmaid, and I can say that finding bridesmaid gifts to give to the bride is pretty hard, so if you have any to recommend, please feel free to comment!
