Day one at the gym

Written on Tuesday, 1 of June, 2010 at 8:03 am

As I mentioned in my previous post, I got to enroll in Gold’s Gym for a discounted price, thanks to my friend MJ. ^_^ This morning, with me having a day off, we decided to finally claim our temporary cards and utilize it immediately.

After signing up, one of their staff gave us a tour on the gym. The orientation is scheduled for Tuesday though. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the facilities of the gym. I saw all the machines I needed from the list I compiled when I did some research on how to reduce stomach fat – my main and only health issue. Of course, I was very ecstatic with the steam bath and sauna. What’s really great about it is that I just found out that our membership includes us being able to join their classes for free. Guess what I saw there? Striptease classes on Wednesdays! I am so looking forward to it. 0:D

THE scene

Written on Sunday, 18 of April, 2010 at 1:09 am

Going for a month vacation to my beach house in a secluded island with comfy, durable outdoor furniture and a fast, reliable wifi connection near the shore… lounging on the sand just in front of my beach house in a nice sombrero and red-hot sexy bikini, sipping cosmopolitan while checking money continuously pouring into my paypal account… then closing my latest netbook and going back to appreciating and admiring the waves and serene surroundings…

Suddenly, I hear giggling and laughter. I look around and see my pretty daughter and adorable son running towards me with my gorgeous husband on striking trunks just a few steps behind. My heart skips a beat.

This is THE scene that keeps on playing in my mind – my ultimate dream.

counter strike days all over again

Written on Thursday, 9 of July, 2009 at 9:45 am

Being sick and forced to just stay at home to recuperate, I was extremely bored last week. Consequently, I decided to go through the accumulated papers in our tv stands both in the living room and recreation room. I ended up sorting them into three piles: still useful, for recycling, and for keeps.

What struck me was finding the score sheet of our office counter strike tournaments last 2007. I forgot I actually brought it home back then to brag to my siblings that I graduated from camping in counter strike to actually having kills in my statistics! Seeing that sheet made me long for counter strike tournaments again…

I was surprised when I got back to the office and saw an entire row of 14 workstations all setup for a counter strike tournament! Apparently, with the termination of some of our colleagues due to clients’ undergoing recession, our CEO decided to make use of several of those “now free” workstations to revive our counter strike days. Am I lucky or am I lucky?!

I ended up staying late at night with my colleagues, playing against another account/client team. As usual, I’m the only girl who participated in the counter strike tournament. Tsk tsk tsk. If they only know what they were missing… Oh well, better for me, I get to have more chance to play since we sometimes take turns for each round. 0:p

I’m-sorry-for-the-April-Fool’s-joke NYC treat

Written on Sunday, 5 of April, 2009 at 8:28 pm

It’s the holy week and I’m stuck at home. Thanks to the internet, I’ll be productive being home alone. That is, while some people are relaxing away in beaches, I’ll be leveling up my knowledge and skills.

Yep. I AM being bitter. I’d definitely choose the beach over being productive. I mean, you have the ENTIRE year to be productive. Summer is only a few months. Then again, I remembered I owe my best friend an out of town trip for the practical joke I played on him on April Fool’s which I overdid and made him angry.

Since I’m a big fan of the movie “Love Affair” and the TV series “Sex and the City“, and there currently are discounted tours available online, I decided to make reservations in a New York City hotel and avail of their tour wherein you get to:

  • see the Madison Square Garden, Macy’s, Empire State Building (one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, and also THE meeting place in “Love Affair“), SoHo, Chinatown, Wall Street, and Central Park.
  • glide along on a New York Harbor Cruise (we love cruise!), which includes up close looks of the Brooklyn Bridge, The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island.
  • ride a Double Decker Bus that travels everywhere from Downtown, Uptown to Harlem and Brooklyn (we’ll definitely be sitting in the open air upper level of the bus for great sights of NYC).

I haven’t paid the hotel and tour yet. I’m still waiting for his go signal. I hope he says yes to an unforgettable, fun-filled holy week in New York (as my I’m-sorry-for-the-April-Fool’s-joke treat)! ^_^

drooling over Asian cruise

Written on Wednesday, 19 of November, 2008 at 1:14 pm

Right after graduation, one of my goals was to save enough money to be able to go on an Asian Cruise. It’s been four years and I haven’t saved a single cent for that dream vacation. While absentmindedly surfing the net, I came across a blog which contains articles like the “Three Cheapest Asian Cities for Shopaholics” and “5 Weirdest Things You Can Do With Your GPS”. This triggered my almost forgotten yearning for an Asian Cruise.

Sigh. I really ought to start saving up money for the cruise so that I’ll stop drooling over articles and pictures like those. If only I could find someone to tag along with me… the trip would be more interesting. Hey wait a minute, I did find someone to go with me! My Nth level friend. ^_^ Very exciting!

If You Are Looking For An Online Casino…

Written on Wednesday, 29 of October, 2008 at 1:11 pm

We have all been addicted to gambling at some point in our lives. I for one am quite fond of poker at the moment. I play it with my cousins and friends when available. It is quite a good way to socialize and expand your circle of friends, don’t you think?

There are a lot of casinos online, but there are only a few that provide you with user-friendly software. I can recommend you a website if you are looking for one. It is a Online German Casino. They also provided an English sister website for those of you who do not understand German at all so don’t think that this website is only limited to Germans. Amazing, right?

Its layout is very simple, and you can say that it is easy to navigate. You won’t find any complex buttons here that would seem to eat you up if you do not understand anything! It is pretty much convenient for all the Germans out there.

I have a piece of advice for you gamblers, though. Don’t be too hooked, as the saying goes, too much of anything is bad for your health. What I can say about that is it is not only bad for your health, but also to your loved ones as well! Too much of this can push them away from you, and hurt them eventually. So gamble healthily, if there is such a term!

mountaineering in Colorado

Written on Tuesday, 27 of November, 2007 at 10:44 am

My friend Marie has recently joined the worldwide voice for American climbers, the American Alpine Club. The club will soon have a major event and for this reason, Marie is now looking for a Colorado bed and breakfast, a place to stay with her loved ones. This type of accommodation suits the needs of a practical visitor of Colorado.

Aside from mountaineering interest of Marie, they will be able to visit the historical places and the beautiful sceneries of Colorado. They will surely enjoy every minute of their family bonding.

a taste of golf

Written on Saturday, 27 of October, 2007 at 11:20 pm

I recently had dinner with a childhood friend. While eating, I noticed that the color of his left hand is way lighter than his right hand. I voiced out my thoughts and he answered, “I play golf in a nearby golf club.”

Now why didn’t I think of that? Anyway, he was not the sporty type when we were kids, so I was surprised about that information. Curious, I prodded more about his new recreation, and soon, we were scheduling my first golf lesson. He told me he’ll lend me some of his golf equipment while taking the lessons until I decide whether or not I’ll include playing golf in my weekly routine. I can’t wait for my first golf lesson.

spending the holidays at Florida’s theme parks

Written on Thursday, 25 of October, 2007 at 9:11 pm

Since my uncle offered free use of his Orlando vacation home early this year, my cousins and I have been saving up for a “Theme Parks” trip to Florida. Of course, our target dates are sometime this December. You see, although Florida’s theme parks are enchanting throughout the year, the overlay of holiday cheer triples the magic and fun during this Christmas season.

Here’s a list of Theme Parks we have in our itinerary:

  1. Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens
  2. DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park
  3. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
  4. Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  5. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  6. Fantasy of Flight
  7. Magic Kingdom® Park

Hope to see y’all there!

all-female band

Written on Sunday, 21 of October, 2007 at 11:18 pm

We have a family band composed of four girls. Dad has been successful in motivating his daughters at their young age to have the musical instruments instead of dolls as their toys and playmates. Though the all female band is not performing to earn for a living, the girls are usually invited in family and school gatherings. There are also occasions they perform to raise funds for charitable institutions. Now, Dad had decided to replace the old and worn out musical instruments of the girls.

For the all-female band, Dad had already selected what to buy musical instruments online. These are the musical instruments in Dad’s list: Casio WK 3300 76 Keyboard; Epiphone Les Paul 100 Electric Guitar; Ion le d01 Electronic Drums packed with percussion power; and Pioneer MP3 Player. These musical instruments have the best price and known for quality. The all-female band is very excited to have the new set of band instruments delivered.
