“An l shaped office desk!” my sister enthusiastically suggested when I asked what type of desk I ought to add on my Furniture Home Office list for my space in the province. I checked out some designs, saw this gorgeous table with solid wood, unique starburst design, and Laptop plug-in ports in desk’s top; indeed, an L-shaped computer desk is the best type of desk for me.
Falling in love with the computer desk, I decided to browse some more in Furniturefromhome.com and found other lovely bedroom furniture and Living Room Furniture. Gosh, I really ought to start working my ass off to be able to replace our current worn out furniture with these elegant ones.

Last Friday, one of my closest friends, Twyla, surprised me with a “moving to a new house” present – a thermal blanket. I was so touched. It was my first time to receive a sort of “going away” present.
I was even more amazed when I unfolded the blanket and found out that it was not just a blanket, it was a personalized one. Printed on it was one of our favorite pictures that we took while having an out of town dinner in Palaisdaan when we were in college. To cap it off, she even had it made in shades of violet – my favorite color.
I know it’s rude to ask where someone bought her present, but I just had to. She laughingly informed me that she had ordered it from VisionBedding.com. Twyla said the company uses the latest production technology, wherein your favorite picture is specially dyed into a photo blanket, photo bedding, photo pillows or photo dog beds. Really amazing. I probably will be ordering several picture blankets soon to give away as Christmas presents.

Since our house was constructed last year, we haven’t had enough cash for the finishing touches and for home improvements like modern but very inviting living room furniture. Even my room on the roof top was not yet built. According to my mom, we’ll be constructing my room as soon as their retirement pay resumes. Until then, I might as well just plan out my room-to-be.
I love looking at sceneries so I am very particular with my room windows location. I am currently considering a double glazing or this uPVC casement window which offers combinations of fixed panes for uninterrupted views. I think I’ll go for the latter. The casement window even has top opening fanlights and side-opening casements for fire escape. Being a self-confessed OC (obsessive-compulsive) the “casements for fire escape” definitely warrants my seal of approval.
Well, there goes the window. Next on the list are the bedroom and bathroom tiles. I need to look for the right shade of tiles that will go with my wisteria-themed room…

It’s the rainy season. When I was in elementary, I used to love the rainy season. I even go out and play in the rain with my friends. Our favorite game was paper boat racing.
Tables turned when we moved to our new house. I became a bit apprehensive whenever it rains hard because a lot of water from the rain enters our basement and we have to literally scoop the water out to keep our things from getting soaked. My parents have not been able to avail of waterproofing services yet because we’re still fixing some other stuff at home.
My siblings and I are planning to just sponsor the whole waterproofing process to end this anxiety attack whenever it rains. We’ve been canvassing and so far, Brooklyn New York basement waterproofing offers one of the best solutions for our basement problem using the latest wall and floor sealing methods, mildew cleaning tools, and mold cleaners to keep our foundation stable and dry.
We’re currently saving up for the waterproofing. Hopefully, our basement will be leak-free before the storms start hitting our area.

I have a penchant for white-painted wooden furniture. Since we moved in at our house last year, I’ve been planning to buy a nice, comfortable wood bed (I’m currently using my brother’s plain worn out bed). I just haven’t been able to save money for it.
Now that I have resigned in my current job (effective September 15), I’m certain my new earnings will allow me to stash some cash for my dream bed – a day bed. So I decided to do some online window shopping.
There’s this store which sells an entire wooden bed collection where I saw this really nice Pine Beds. I fell in love with the Hamilton pine bed. It was beautifully made in a classic design with stylish features and a timeless white finish. It perfectly goes with the rest of my white-painted furniture in my bedroom. I’ll definitely buy it.

My future business partners and I will be moving soon in our temporary office. The place is quite bland, so though temporary, we intend to brighten it up with some light fixtures, and perhaps even a carpet.
As of the moment, we’re still debating on getting chandeliers or ceiling light fixtures. Personally though, I think chandeliers are merely ostentatious. I’d go for the latter. Anyhow, I’ll update you with the outcome of our makeshift office. Perhaps, I’ll even post some pictures once it’s prettied up. ^_^

If you think buying a car is expensive, you have another thought coming. Owning a car is just the beginning of your car expenses. There’s still the car registration fee, your daily or weekly Consequently, you ought to avail of products that will help you minimize your car cost. A good example of this is an electric pressure washer which will allow you to wash your car at home without the maintenance of a gas motor. Moreover, you can even use it to wash your outdoor (picnic) tables and chairs or perhaps even your pet dog!
Next time you think of buying a car, don’t just limit the cost to the amount you need to pay for the car.

My parents, who recently retired in the Armed Forces got a lump sum of their retirement pay to build our own house (we used to live in military provided housing). The money they got weren’t enough to finish the structure so they availed of a home equity loan. A home equity loan is sometimes referred to as a second mortgages or borrowing against your home.
Since we have to wait for another two years for their retirement pay to resume, we’re currently having some financial problems. Consequently, my mom is planning to remortgage (a mortgage which replaces a previous mortgage) to help us get through until their retirement pay resumes.
My family was hesitant about this at first. But when she informed us about also availing of a mortgage insurance, which covers your mortgage if you were ever in an accident, if you become unemployed or if you suddenly became ill and wouldn’t be able to work, we gave her our go signal.
Hopefully, with the remortgage, we’ll be able to survive the coming months.

Climate change is, “a shift in the ‘average weather’ that a given region experiences (The Green Lane)”. Based from several studies, heat and cold have relative impacts on human mortality.
