I went to the mall today! Actually, I never really intended to go there since I have a lot of stuff to do on my own. I still haven’t done my reports and I only have a few days left to finish it. Add that to my usual but very tiresome household chores.
Anyway, I went to all the fancy outdoor furniture shops I can find within the mall to shop for our new outdoor furniture. The good old backyard seats we have are already rotting and it would be very risky for us if we continue on using it. After I window shopped, I now have an idea on what outdoor furniture to select, since I already found out what fits our design scheme and on which shops have the nicest designs at the lowest cost. It was really great, I’m thinking I might window shop again tomorrow..

My family and I have been planning to build a second home in my dad’s province as soon as my mom and dad’s pension resumes this 2009. We’ll be using that place mostly for personal use such as our vacation home, guest house, or for family reunions.
We all agreed to put up our second home in the modest amount of area in my dad’s hometown – the one with the white sand beach that was recently opened up for bidding for the public. We already made reservations and some down payment while the land there is pretty cheap and is currently under development. Better seize the getting while its still good. With the land developments there and the way people are marketing the area, the price per square meter may just up two times.
I can’t wait for 2009! It would be fun constructing and furnishing that beach vacation house with my entire family.

My brother is currently busy refurbishing his room. He recently bought reddish black curtains (the one you usually see on stages) and curtain rods, and had it setup in all his windows, including his bathroom! To complete his goal of turning it into a movie theatre-like space, he bought a TV cabinet with a contemporary furniture theme that will go with his huge flat screen Samsung TV.
Let’s see, a huge TV, nice curtains, spacious room, surround sound system… ah-ha! He still needs to setup the air conditioning to make watching in his room feel like a home cinema experience.

We recently moved to our home sweet home. This is the modest house my parents built with their retirement benefits. The house looks very ordinary during daytime, but with its light fixtures, our house stands in the neighborhood in the evening.
What makes the difference? It is the solar landscape path light that we mounted around the house. While it is true that everybody in the village is conserving energy, when our neighbors put off their lights, ours remain lighted. Solar makes the difference.

I still recall this statement in a pocket book, “A house is built by human hands, while a home is built by human hearts.” However, if you buy a house in Arizona luxury real estate, the house you bought is not just a building or structure, for me it is buying a home in one of the best Arizona subdivisions.
A home is the place where FAMILY members: FAther, Mother and children live and say I Love You to one another. If you have the means, why not give the best for your family, buy a house sweet home.

If someone asks me what my favorite place in our house is, I’d have to say the bathroom in the second floor. It has this tangerine cream tiles that looks very cozy and not bathroom-ish, a bath tub that makes you want to stay there forever, and a space big enough to pretty much make you do whatever you want (e.g. stretch) without hitting the walls. Plus the two windows have a very serene view of trees and grass – very relaxing.
I’ve been thinking of buying kohler faucets to replace our current ones though, which have been leaking every now and then out of old age. Oh, and I’m planning to buy a sort of bathroom cabinet or shelf to keep the toiletries more organized. Those are actually on my priority list when I get my 13th month pay. I can’t wait to have those organized for a more relaxing experience when having my bath.

Every individual wants their privacy to be respected. As such, the letters/mails should be read only by the addressee. If anyone dares to open and read other person’s mails, the said person is already an intruder and in worst scenario, he or she can be brought to court.Problem similar to this is possible to happen in the homes and offices. Thus, to preempt this situation, safety measures should be made by placing security mailboxes which is ideal in apartments, condominiums and commercial buildings. Security mailbox should have the tenant’s name and/or box number with custom engraved placards. These types of locking mailboxes will assure the privacy of individuals for each owner is given a key for their own locking mailbox.
Just in case, the place where you live doesn’t have any security mailboxes yet, now is the right time to shop for the best locking mailbox. This will give you the assurance that your right to privacy is respected.

Marcoe, my college friend, stayed overnight at our house with her daughter, Ayel after attending Ayesha (Twyla’s daughter)’s 3rd birthday. Marcoe brought along with her an unusual stroller. Curious, I inspected it closer. Her daughter saw me inspecting her stroller and charmingly uttered, “bugaboo”. Puzzled, I raised an inquiring eyebrow at Marcoe. She laughingly indulged my inquiry and said that the stroller is a bugaboo cameleon.
Later on, I found out that the cameleon is one of the fully loaded Bugaboo strollers and was recommended by one of Marcoe’s friends to her because it is lightweight and it has a tailored infant travel system. What made Marcoe buy it of course was the fact that it has these features, “water-repellent sun canopy, mosquito net, rain cover, safety wrist wrap, underseat storage bag, maintenance kit, instructional DVD, and two-year warranty.” It is definitely a worthy buy.
When I become a mom, I’ll definitely ask Marcoe for advice.

The longer I stayed in my room, the more comfortable and cozy I want it to be. Consequently, since I’ll be working in my room half the time, might as well indulge in some redecoration.
My friend Abbie, an interior designer, gave me a few tips on how to improve my conventional room. She said that painting my room over, adding a rug, roman blinds, and Progress Lighting, will definitely elevate it’s coziness to the next level. Not bad. Abbie said she’s willing to accompany me when I decide to canvass for those items to make sure I mix and match the decors correctly.
