Apple Obsession

Written on Saturday, 12 of February, 2011 at 11:57 pm

It seems like wherever I go, all I see are people listening to their ipods, playing games and not minding each other.

I find it scary. We might even reach a point where we end up ignoring each other and just minding our own business, using apps and all that.

But that’s probably just me being paranoid. I’d be a hypocrite if I said I hate ipods and we shouldn’t ever use them, because I pretty much can’t live without mine! It has pretty much consumed my life, and I am entirely dependent on it now. Haha!

Most of my schedules are there, and I have a lot of to do lists stored on it. It’s just convenient since it’s portable and you can do a lot of things with it, not to mention the very reasonable price and sleek interface!

What kind of ipod do you have and what do you want to have? Share it with us!

Fatherly Love

Written on Sunday, 2 of January, 2011 at 3:08 am

My brother used to play golf with my dad a lot. My dad started taking my brother with him since he was about six and he made my brother watch while he swung his golf club.

This intrigued my brother and it piqued his interest in the matter. He started practicing with my dad and all the other men in the club started noticing how my brother has potential.

My dad trained with him vigorously and took him to small competitions. From then on golf trophies started coming and my dad took every single one of them and put them in our living room.

I like looking at my brother’s trophies. For me it’s a symbol of fatherly love and pride.

Newbie drummer here!

Written on Monday, 29 of June, 2009 at 9:18 pm

Recently, my friends and I have been playing the “Rock Band” game in Xbox. I am actually addicted to it, considering that I’m not very fond of instruments. In this game, players get to be a part of a band – Guitarist, bassist, drummer and even vocalist. My friends and I do a rotation so everyone can try each instrument.

I loved the drums so much that I’m planning to buy a drum set this month. Drums in the malls seem too expensive for me so I guess I’ll just browse in some free online auctions sites. Ebay is not that great anymore because sellers charge higher prices because ebay gets some cut for its profit. This is why free online auctions sites are becoming more popular these days. I already contacted a seller and I’ll be meeting him next week to test the drums. I’m a newbie so I’ll let my drummer friend tag along. Wish me luck!

Cool playstation 3 video games

Written on Friday, 15 of May, 2009 at 5:02 pm

Being a PlayStation 2 addict, my colleague, Stephen recently bought its latest version, Playstation 3 at Circuit City. As of the moment, he’s into collecting PS3 Video Games.

With his upcoming birthday, his wish list includes a lot of PS3 games like Need for Speed (his all time favorite street racing), NBA Live 2009 (even I was surprised that there’s already a version 2009), World Series of Poker 2008 (will definitely help improve your poker skills in real life), and of course, Call of Duty: World at War (for those who’s into combat, the military, and hand-to-hand fight, this is a must have).

I checked the prices of the PS3 Video Games online and they are all reasonable. I think I’ll get him the Need for Speed so I can borrow it as well. Hehehe.

on striking brand names

Written on Thursday, 8 of November, 2007 at 9:24 pm

I accidentally landed on the website of onlinecasinobluebook.com yesterday. Although I normally just ignore casino websites and immediately close the mis-clicked window, I got curious with the word bluebook in their title online casino bluebook.

Its basically a list or directory of the top online casinos where you can play craps, baccarat, blackjack, slots, poker, keno and bingo, that are handpicked based on bonus size, payout percentage, customer service, game features, number of games, software graphics, and ease of use. It also has reviews of each online casino.

Although the features of that website are quite similar with some Ive also accidentally encountered, they do have an edge – a striking brand name, “online casino bluebook“.

top casino sites that accept US players

Written on Saturday, 3 of November, 2007 at 11:03 pm

Mary, my younger cousin, is a poker addict. Im not surprised that when I visited their house shes browsing over online casinos.

Curious, I asked her where she found those websites and how sure she is that those are safe. She showed me the http://www.topusaonlinecasinos.com/ and gave me a small tour. The website is a directory or list with reviews of the top casino sites that accept US players. According to the website, it online casinos are ranked based on the bonus size, payout rate, customer support, number of games, deposit options, graphics and ease of use by pro poker and blackjack players.

Its quite interesting. I wanted to find out how they come across these sites but their about us is a blank page. Though the website is quite helpful, to make the website more appealing, they ought to give more attention to the images of each online casino theyre reviewing by making it high quality and the text colors and font size should be standardized. Too much text colors and format makes it look like a hodge podge. Other than that, the websites okay especially with their handy and comprehensible rating table.

end of bachelorhood gift – Xbox 360 Video Games

Written on Saturday, 3 of November, 2007 at 6:35 am

Philip, my colleague, invited us at his apartment last March for his farewell bachelorhood Xbox-themed party. Yep, hes that much of an addict that he wants to spend his last day of being single playing Xbox video games.

Anyhow, as an end of bachelorhood party gift, he required us all to buy Xbox 360 Video Games. Maricel, Grace, Haycee and I opted to chip in for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II Xbox video game. Its a shoo-in really, because on top of being an Xbox addict, hes a LOTR fanatic (to the point of playing the entire soundtrack over and over at the office *faint*). The boys, Elvis, Stephen, Jef, Marvin, and Joedel, bought him the FIFA Soccer 07 for Xbox 360. Philips hooting for Netherlands, which unfortunately did not make it to the finals. With the FIFA Soccer 07, he can at least avenge his team even in just the playing them with his Xbox. Hehehe.

enhance your poker odds with poker tools

Written on Thursday, 27 of September, 2007 at 6:41 am

Funny, I was already amazed at the fact that people actually do play with real money online via poker websites. I was flabbergasted to know that there are actually poker tools for online poker players. Imagine that! Poker tools. Weird.

Then again, I am a card game addict (just not online) and I enjoy winning (who doesnt?). So I guess Im not in the position to find websites putting up poker tools weird. In case youre interested to get your hands on tools like Hold’em Poker Odds Calculator and the New Table Shark table selection tool for free, all you have to do is sign up for a new account at Pacific Poker or Titan Poker and play the required number of hands.
