I’ve been quite fascinated with apple products lately. They’re just so sleek and fun to mess around with. I bought an iPod and since then I couldn’t live without it. What can I say? I love my music.
I looked up “macbook memory” on google and found some interesting articles about them. Apple sure has emerged and developed a great deal from where it started.
I guess we could call Apple the new epitome of innovation.

Today I had a fight with my younger sister because she almost burned the house down. Last night she charged her cellphone in the laundry area and left it there. Earlier, when I went there to stash my dirty clothes, it smelled like something was burning. I found out that it was her charger! It was almost about to blow because it was so hot. Fortunately, I got there in time before it burned the laundry room down (and eventually the whole house).
I told Mom about this and she confronted my sister. Chargers and electrical appliances which could generate heat should not be left plugged it unattended. Blow dryers, chargers and irons are among the common. You may think I am over reacting but hey, prevention is better.
Because of this incident, we became interested in getting an insurance for the house. I requested for a home insurance quote from a website offering insurance. Accidents can never be totally eliminated but most accidents could be prevented, so it is important to keep in mind some safety precautions at home.

Finally, after three months of drooling, I finally got myself the coolest netbook today – the MSI U210. This baby is so amazing, it’s even better than my full fledged laptop. It has a dual core AMD processor and an impressive ATI graphics card! It can even play a 1080p video with little effort! Haha. You really cannot blame me for bragging. I bought this notebook for my work as a web developer and for watching HD movies. Sometimes clients want to see you in action, so this 12 incher is best for the job. Of course, I have an antivirus installed so to protect my precious data from malicious programs like spyware and viruses.
The thing about some antivirus programs is they are very resource hungry! I still remember when I got my first licensed antivirus. It was made by S*mant*c and it claimed to be the most powerful antivirus available. I was overwhelmed by the good advertisements so I purchased it and installed it in my laptop. After installation, I noticed that my PC slowed down significantly. It came to the point that I could not load Photoshop anymore because that crappy antivirus is eating all the resources in my PC!
I consulted a friend of mine about that and he recommended a brand new antivirus software that offers full protection from spyware, malware, virus, worms, and even email-borne threats. I got it online and one nice thing about it is it does not automatically charge your credit card for renewal. This antivirus uses advanced anti-rootkit technology which is not available from the old antivirus I had been using. And the best thing about it is… it does not slow down your PC! It is the ideal antivirus for netbooks and PC’s with little processing power. This is the antivirus I use at home and at the office. So far it has proven to be worthy to claim that is has a “Cutting-edge Proactive Protection”.
Anyhow, I can’t wait to try out some games on this netbook. I have already tried DOTA and Borderlands and it seemed to respond well.

For my brother’s birthday last September, I bought him a GPS. Being a gadget and car freak, my options, after all, are limited to car accessories or computer accessories.
Since he’s been eyeing the GPS for quite some time now, I decided to put a stop on his yearning and give it to him as a gift. He was ecstatic, and as expected, he immediately went to his computer to configure his new GPS.
We actually have a road trip to the beach tomorrow and the GPS will definitely help a lot in getting to our destination. I hope he configures the map to our destination well. I’m paying for the gas, after all and I wouldn’t want to pay extra if we get lost.

PSP fans will certainly love the latest news from Sony. It still is not officially in production, but research is already being made if a PSP phone will be feasible in the market. Hmm… Imagine the coolest handheld console with the functions of cellular phones. Great huh.
Months from now, the newest version of the PSP (PSP-4000) will be released and a large number of fans are already anticipating. It was a complete overhaul of the PSP slim. New features include a slide up controller pad, smaller but brighter LCD, and a very slim form factor. They also removed the UMD drive. This just means that the PSP games will just be downloadable from the net. Oh well… better for the torrent pirates I guess.

Sepiacrue.
I love it! The name anyway. In case you don’t know, Sepiacrue is an acoustic guitar brand in Japan. My friend in Aichicken Japan, JC, was the one who introduced me to this brand. He bought Sepiacrue’s F130 brown and black model two weeks ago.
Anyhow, I still prefer electric guitars over acoustics. My red and white Squier Standard Stratocaster electric guitar, which my uncle bought all the way from Nevada when he stayed there on tour in one of those Vegas hotels 7 years ago, is quite outdated and looks like it’s planning to retire soon. I might replace it with one of the cool seven-string Ibanez electric guitars, their S7320, to level up on my guitar skills.
My dad, who’s paying for my electric guitar by the way, prefers Epiphone Les Paul 100. I guess I’ll have to make do with the usual six-string guitar. After all, he’s paying.

Notebook or desktop? That is the question. While a pc salesperson will abruptly say “notebook”, the obvious answer still is… “it depends”. Each kind of PC has its pro’s and con’s of course. And yes… there won’t come a day when desktops will be phased out by notebook computer.
Here are some clear comparison between the two of them:
Portability. Notebooks obviously win in this area, and I need not explain why.
Reliability. Desktops win this round. Why? Well… ever heard of Microsoft using laptops as database servers? Hehe. Seriously, desktops are usually built in aluminum casings which make them less prone to heat damage, unlike laptops which are made of plastic. Also, notebooks can easily be dropped, spilled upon, and even stepped on.
Power. Because desktops have the ease to be built on such large casings, there is no need for manufacturers to make the components smaller, compromising some processing power. Also, power hungry processors need more… well… power. This is why desktop power supply are at least 500 watts whereas laptops only have typically 100 watts.
Budget friendly. This is relative of course, but in general, desktops are cheaper.
So those are some of the obvious differences between the two. So to choose between them will just depend on the type of user and the kind of application that will be used with it.

There was a clearance sale yesterday in my favorite electronic and gadgets shop. Being a trigger-happy photographer, I have been having problems with my memory space in my DSLR. So, upon hearing the word sale and having just received my salary, I immediately logged out of work and went to the store as soon as 5:30 p.m. struck. Hehehe.
Did I mention how much I love the clearance in a clearance sale? The prices can go really low. I was able to purchase SanDisk 16GB Extreme III compact flash card for only $84.95! Imagine that! The bargain princess struck gold again! ^^;

I stood at the grocery cashier for almost 30 minutes yesterday. Apparently, the barcode scanner wasnt working. I couldve easily transferred to another cashier but the cute guy behind me started talking to me. Waiting suddenly didnt matter at all. He saw a couple of the stuff that I was buying and I was surprised that he found the shampoo that they said was out of stock. So I asked him where he got it and he said it was at the left corner at lane 36.
He offered to get it for me while I was dealing with the cashier lady. He was sweet, and after the barcode issue we went our separate ways. Then when I got to the parking lot I saw him again, apparently he was parked right next to me. Coffee? he asked. I looked at him and I smiled, Ill think about it.

Alvin invited me last month to a free surfing lesson. He said all I have to do is set a date and hell find someone to teach me how to surf. I contacted him last week to schedule our trip/lesson this coming three-day weekend so that I can also maximize my stay at the beach.
Everythings all set, now Im just packing my things for the three-day escapade. Hmmmm I just realized that I dont have a camera for the trip. Ive been planning to get one but I always had the perfect excuse why not to buy one. I guess nows the time to buy a digital camera. After all, it is my first surfing lesson and I want it documented strikingly.
My friend, Alvin, recommended the camera brand Olympus. I browsed the net and fell in love with Olympus Stylus 770 SW digital camera. Who wouldn’t? It is not only shockproof (will still function even if you drop it at 5 ft.), freeze proof (it can function at -10C/14F), and crushproof, it is also waterproof (very handy for people who love the beach)! To cap it off, it has a bright 2.5″ Hypercrystal LCD which allows you to easily compose, view and share your images while swimming underwater. I ought to start saving up for this camera.
