A Friend In Need

Written on Saturday, 16 of October, 2010 at 11:06 pm

My friend has been quite insecure about her body for years, and for quite a while I have been trying to console her by telling her that physical appearances mean nothing.

The sad part is, to most people these days, they’re usually everything. I want to recommend one of the best fat burner supplements to her, but I’ve never really had any problem with fat, or needed anything related to reducing or burning fat. I eat a lot for my body type and people tend to be surprised when they see me eat.

If you have anything to recommend it would be greatly appreciated if you comment on this post. I will be reading all of your replies and investigating each of your recommendations. Detailed descriptions and side effects would also be read carefully and objectively.

Thank you so much, I just want to help make my friend feel better about herself.

Weight Loss..?

Written on Thursday, 14 of October, 2010 at 1:43 pm

What are weight loss pills and how do you know if they really are effective?

There are a wide variety of weight loss pills out in the market right now, and many people buy this for the standards that media has imprinted upon our brains, which I guess is quite a good thing, opening our eyes in self consciousness and what not.

Where can we find weight loss pills that work? How do we know if they really work?

They say that experience is the best teacher, but why force yourself to experience the bad things when you can learn from other people? It would be best to learn from the mistakes of other people, so you don’t commit it yourself and regret it in the end.

There however are a few exceptions to this rule. Some people never learn anything until they experience them singlehandedly, and it just can’t be helped.

Feel free to post your experiences on certain weight loss pills on this post! We will be reading everything you write. :)

Slaving for the “Director” position

Written on Wednesday, 6 of October, 2010 at 3:36 pm

Ever since I moved to this new company, my second company, I have been slaving myself for the “Director” title. I have never worked so hard in my entire life. I’ve been doing 13-14 hour shifts in one week and working on weekends as well! I have never imagined myself in this situation – so little time, too much to do.

I’m on the brink of being burned out. But anyway, I still have more than a month to go before my performance evaluation. Since I want that title badly, and I’ve been already slaving away for the past four months, might as well keep it up until I get THE “Director” title. It’s not everyday a 27-(soon to be 28)-year-old person gets to have that opportunity.

Unfortunately, at this work phase, I just might start borrowing my brother’s thermogenic fat burner. I haven’t had time to exercise, let alone walk during breaks! It’s horrible. I’ve already cut down on my rice, so I guess that’s one of the reasons why I’m not yet excessively plump.

As soon as I get that much coveted job title, the first in my priority will be my health.

Age well, age beautifully!

Written on Wednesday, 15 of September, 2010 at 8:48 pm

In this lifetime, I’ve seen a lot of people age. But there are only a few who I’ve seen have aged beautifully.

I generally approach those people to compliment them on their wonderful and envy-worthy aging, and to get some tips on how to look like them. After all, I’m not getting any younger. Aging is inevitable. But then, instead of fighting against the inevitable, the best approach is to accept it and but make sure you still take care of whatever it is that isn’t beyond your control.

You know what their secret is?

Sunscreen and face moisturizers.

Come to think of it, people do take their skin for granted especially when they’re young. What the majority doesn’t know is that by the age 25 (even 21), signs of aging appears and if you do not moisturize and put sunscreen, you’ll start looking 40 even when you’re still in your 30’s. Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that our ozone layers are depleting, which means the sun’s rays are becoming more harmful.

So, if you want to age beautifully, the next time you go out, moisturize and protect yourself from the sun! Age well, age beautifully! ^_^

Nodular acne no more!

Written on Tuesday, 14 of September, 2010 at 10:14 am

Stressed with nodular acne? Who wouldn’t? Perfectly understandable.

Nodular acne is a form of acne that looks like a dome gash. This type of acne happens when your oil glands are blocked. The block causes the skin and the tissue to be inflamed, and the swollen lesion often affects deeper layers of skin. Not only that you need to worry about nodular acne as it inflames in your face, but you also need to worry about the scar!

The good news is you need not worry about nodular acne anymore. You can try treatments like the hormonal treatment, antibiotics and topical treatment. If you want to get rid of the scar, laser therapy is available. Just make sure that you check with your doctor what treatment is most recommended for you.

You can also treat nodular acne naturally – live healthy. Drink lots of water. Eat a balanced diet – include lots of fruits and vegetables in your food list. Exercise regularly – even jogging in place in 15-20 minutes every day can make a difference. Have regular and enough sleep. Think happy thoughts. These can help you make get rid of your nodular acne in the mot effective way!

Yet another diet pill

Written on Thursday, 8 of July, 2010 at 10:53 pm

Jen, a friend mine told me about a new product that she tried. It’s an appetite suppressant that another friend recommended to her. Based from her feedback on the pill, she experienced a few days of minor headaches and shaking of hands and going to the bathroom several times a day. However the side effects subsided on the third day and she said that the effects were amazing.

I was really intrigued so I checked out some nuphedragen reviews on the net. The user testimonials are very positive and the product looks very promising. I do plan to take this pill too but I better consult my physician first just to be safe.

Too busy to exercise? Walk to and from work

Written on Monday, 7 of June, 2010 at 4:30 am

Do you know what’s better than taking weight loss pills? Walking several blocks to and from work.

Walking to and from your office is free daily exercise that can easily be integrated into your busy routine. Doing that may also even help you lose a pound a day like Lipofuze. The best thing about that is there’s no need to schedule it since you’ll definitely need to go to work daily and go back home to rest anyway.

Of course, if you’re planning to walk to and from your office, I suggest you bring an extra shirt and wear comfortable shoes (if you can’t bring an extra pair for work, that is). Oh, and do drink lots of water afterward. As with any physical activity, hydration is important.

Day one at the gym

Written on Tuesday, 1 of June, 2010 at 8:03 am

As I mentioned in my previous post, I got to enroll in Gold’s Gym for a discounted price, thanks to my friend MJ. ^_^ This morning, with me having a day off, we decided to finally claim our temporary cards and utilize it immediately.

After signing up, one of their staff gave us a tour on the gym. The orientation is scheduled for Tuesday though. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the facilities of the gym. I saw all the machines I needed from the list I compiled when I did some research on how to reduce stomach fat – my main and only health issue. Of course, I was very ecstatic with the steam bath and sauna. What’s really great about it is that I just found out that our membership includes us being able to join their classes for free. Guess what I saw there? Striptease classes on Wednesdays! I am so looking forward to it. 0:D

Sun spots? Use sunblock!

Written on Sunday, 30 of May, 2010 at 2:08 am

During my initial checkup with my dermatologist, two of my questions where what the two tiny brownish spots right on my cheekbones are and how I could get rid of them. Apparently, I devastatingly found out that those were age spots (sometimes called sun spots or lentigines).

The culprit? As the name implies – Sun. Those brownish spots which, over time, appear on your face and body, is actually a result of overexposure to the sun.

Age spots, are actually common and generally appear as we age. This is because as we age our skin is subjected to more and more sun damage; at the same time our skin’s natural ability to fend off UV rays from the sun begins to deteriorate. These age spots can be effectively treated with lasers. However, my dermatologist recommended that I just use an SPF 45 facial sunblock since the two brownish spots can easily be concealed and is not that visible. Thank God! Laser treatments can be pretty expensive, not to mention daunting at times.

So for those who don’t want to acquire sun spots over time, wear sunblock.

Gym discounts for three

Written on Thursday, 27 of May, 2010 at 8:30 pm

One of the perks in my friend MJ’s new company is a 70% discount on the monthly fee in Gold’s Gym. What’s really great about it is that MJ can sign-up two more people for the same discounted rate! Guess who’s one of the friends he invited? Moi! ^_^

The other one is his new housemate, Tony. MJ said we could all start on June 1. All we need is to get the access card at their office on Tuesday, and then we can go straight to the gym and start sweating the fats off.

I’m pretty excited. I heard they offer the best ab workout there. If all goes well, I’ll have a to-die-for body just before I join my new company on the last week of June. Now all I need is to follow a rigid exercise routine and minimize my intake of carbohydrates.
