My own time

Since I recently started my yoga sessions again, I have been waking up at 4 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I can do yoga before I work. Frankly, it has been really tiring. I lack sleep and I really have a hard time letting go of my bed so I tend to be really cranky on yoga days.

I have been seriously considering buying yoga dvds so I can choose to do it in my own time instead of adhering to the schedule in the yoga studio. I can set schedules on weekend mornings when the yoga studio I go to is closed instead and I can do it wearing my birthday suit! Haha, just kidding. Well this way I won’t have to worry about people judging me for what I wear to yoga. This way I’d be less conscious of my surroundings or how I look like because there’s a cute guy beside me and I don’t want to look ridiculous! Haha.

If I do get a DVD I can skip a few sessions on the studio if I want to sleep and just do a session at home! Cool huh?

Changes

I met a friend of mine and noticed how his body time was very similar to that of Thor’s leading man. (I’m not even kidding!) His muscles really were protruding– in a good way, of course.

What I don’t understand is how much he has changed. Back then he was tall and skinny, and out of nowhere he just suddenly gains weight and his body is no less than amazing? It’s confusing, really.

He told me that it took him years to find the best creatine to maximize his workout results. He tried about three brands before he settled down to one because the end results were impressive.

It wouldn’t hurt to help boost your self confidence, in my opinion. I noticed that ever since the big change my friend started having confidence in himself and the things he does– but not excessively, of course.

On Scoliosis

When I was seventeen, my mom noticed that my hips weren’t symmetrical. She had me checked and the doctor recommended me to get an x-ray.

The results showed that I have mild scoliosis, and I went through therapy. I had to leave to get an university dorm, however, so our therapist taught me some tricks to prevent the scoliosis to get even more complicated.

One of the methods was to get a pull up bar and just hang my arms there so my spinal column can be stretched. She also taught me to do some stretches every night to prevent any complications.

These exercises actually helped me to become quite the contortionist, it’s quite amusing.

To prevent scoliosis, make sure you don’t carry objects that are too heavy. Refrain from sling bags, and choose backpacks instead. Don’t be like me! Prevention is always better than cure.

Eczema troubles

Does your skin have red marks, do they itch, crust, flake or crack?

If you answered, “yes” to two or more of these questions, then you probably have eczema.

According to wikipedia, the term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent skin conditions. There are a lot of common types of eczema like atopic eczema, contact dermatitis and xerotic eczema. The less common cases of this would be dysihidrosis, discoid eczema and venous eczema. This shouldn’t be taken lightly, however. If you find any of this symptoms, I strongly recommend you to visit your trusted dermatologist and have it checked.

As the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure. If your family has eczema history, smallpox vaccinations or anything else that contains live vaccinia virus are not recommended as it might cause some complications.

Take care of your skin! It’s one of the very few things that you actually wear every single day.

Facial Wash

I found my sister using an acne face wash last night and it got me intrigued. I mainly focused on relying on acne creams and pills to remove it, and so far, those efforts have gone in vain.

It seems to have worked wonders on her. In just a span of three weeks, most of her acnes are gone. If you have seen her during her early teenage years, you would understand how much change she went through. Even her friends made fun of how big her acnes are, and she was determined to get rid of them from then on.

Medical science sure has achieved impressive feats when it comes to treating acne.

And now it is time for me to look for acne face wash products that are oil free and non comedogenic. (My skin is very picky about products, which makes treating acne even more difficult for me as it is now.)

Taking diet pills with care

I’ve had too many friends who have been obsessing about diet pills lately, and it’s alarming. My first question to them was, “Are you sure those diet pills are safe?”

My concern grew because I can’t stand the sight of drug bottles in my friends’ rooms even though these pills help them lose weight. Diet pills, no matter how little their side effects are, should be taken with utmost care and consideration.

For one, there are diet pills that can get in the way of other medications, and this can be harmful. Also, since the effects of these diet pills depend on the person’s health or medical condition, lifestyle and activities, results and even side effects can vary. Last but not the least, diet pills still need to be accompanied with self-discipline, meaning you still need to work hard for the results, like exercise a little of control your diet to achieve the results you’ve always dreamed about.

When taking diet pills, it would be best to think of it as an aid, rather than the perfect solution to losing weight. Also, think of this: you look great in any size, and no diet pill can debunk that. Smile, pretty!

Moreover, because you sweat when you run, you detoxify, helping your skin glow. Not to mention that specific body parts get stronger when you exercise, like your heart, lungs and muscles. Get enough sleep. Most of the time, people take sleeping for granted they overwork their bodies – working overtime, partying overtime, among many other things overtime. It is true that you need at least eight hours of sleep to function effectively. When you have enough energy during the day, you can do more activities helping you burn fats because you’re active. Then, you recharge at night so that you can burn more fats the next day. Sounds a good plan?
