Gemmed!

Written on Sunday, 18 of December, 2011 at 5:06 pm

My friends believe that there are certain energies within gemstone beads that store a part of the world’s history, and has its own way of telling you what the world has been through. If you don’t take care of them well you’ll end up losing them.

I’ve been really exposed to a lot of things that I never even knew were possible lately through the help of my friends, and I doubted them at first, but what they’ve been saying made a lot of sense. Haha. Am I weirding you out yet? I’m sorry. Okay, back to the original topic! Gemstones!

There is just something about these beads that have a timeless effect. It’s like they never go out of style and they’re so easy to wear with various kinds of outfits. I don’t know if this is just a phase, but most of my accessories are full of gemstones. Haha. What kind of accessories do you wear these days? Share it with us, and if possible with pictures, too!

27 Dresses

Written on Tuesday, 9 of November, 2010 at 9:40 am

Have you ever watched that movie, the 27 Dresses? I kind of felt like I was the person in the lead role. Most of my friends are married now, and I have helped them organize and get things done to lessen their bridal worries.

I don’t necessarily collect all the wedding dresses that I get from it though. It just feels nice to help out, you know?

Maybe one day I’ll find the person whom I won’t ever regret meeting, and he’ll accept me for who I am, and I to him. That movie gives me goosebumps everytime, I tell you, and it makes me think about many things. When will my time come? Would it be as amazing as I have always imagined it to be?

I hope so. I really do.

Individuality

Written on Friday, 13 of August, 2010 at 9:43 pm

I’ve always found coogi items to be both comical and awesome at the same time, probably because of the fact that I could never pull those off even if I tried.

I admire people who can, though. For some reason I just don’t see myself wearing them. It’s a great way to express individuality, and still enjoying looking good.

I can admit, I’ve lurked lookbook for quite a while to find looks that inspire me to make versions of my own, and coogi is everywhere in that website, I tell you.

I’m a dull person, I prefer neutral colors over bright, colorful ones, thank god this brand actually offers some of those, too.

It just has a wide variety of choices in clothes and shoes it almost makes me want to cry with glee.

Vying for the best Halloween costume

Written on Thursday, 22 of October, 2009 at 9:40 pm

We’re going to have a Halloween party in the office this October 30! I’m still deciding on going in breeches like an equestrian, or if I should go on my full Kendo gear complete with bogu and shinai.

Hmmmm… My friend Mark suggested I go for the Kendo gear. After all, the odds of the people from my office ever seeing someone in full battle gear, a girl at that, is, well, zilch. I heard there’s a substantial cash price for it so I’m definitely vying for it. Wish me luck!

Shopping for Other People

Written on Wednesday, 8 of April, 2009 at 9:07 am

Yesterday, I was bored as hell. I had nothing to do at all. So what I did was I asked a couple of people who I knew were completely busy if they need something bought at the mall. Five people responded and were very thankful that I offered that service. I got the strangest of requests from them. One of them asked me for a beach ball, the other a polka dots panty and another was Solo Slim.

After shopping, I proceeded to each of their houses to drop off the stuff I brought them and guess what, I had five dinners yesterday as thank you from them. I felt great for helping them out in my own little way but I was hella plump before the night ended.

Another birthday special meeting

Written on Saturday, 21 of March, 2009 at 10:11 pm

My mom’s birthday is fast approaching – April 13. My mom and dad was out of town today so I gathered my siblings for a birthday present meeting.

After several minutes of funny and exasperating squabbles, we agreed on getting her much coveted Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Florale Quartz. It’s an 18K yellow gold on bracelet. Quite expensive actually. But then again, birthdays are just once a year, so it HAS to be special – something she really likes and is useful.

I already placed the order online. Hopefully, it will arrive on time as the shop promised – two weeks from now.

a recollection to remember

Written on Wednesday, 2 of April, 2008 at 10:29 am

My mom has been honored for being sponsored to be a lifetime member of a religious association in 1980. Majority of the members of this association belongs to the upper bracket of the society. Mom has not been active in the association for a number of years due to her sensitive position in the government. That’s why immediately after her retirement from the government service, she started to be involved again in the said association. The first activity she attended was the monthly recollection.

Prior to the start of the recollection, as the members were waiting for the priest, the chairwoman arrived. She stole the group’s attention for her elegant wardrobe with matching designer jewelry. The said officer is known for her keen interest in jewelries. As such, the other members asked for details in order to have their own set of this unique jewelry. When the chairwoman delivered a message during the recollection, she said, “Each one of us is a designer jewelry, designed by the Supreme Designer”.

pearls – the classic, all occasion accessory

Written on Friday, 28 of March, 2008 at 8:58 pm

I am a huge fan of pearls. For me, pearl accessories are classic – it can go with just about everything. From elegant parties and tea gathering, to just mall hopping or even a business meeting, one can never go wrong with pearls.

In fact, a simple pearl earring, unadorned with diamonds or precious stones, is enough to lighten up and enhance one’s face. It’s a must have in your basic checklist of accessories.

For me, majority of my accessories consist of Akoya pearls. My favorite is my three-layered customized floating pearl necklace. It’s simple, yet dainty enough to make people glance twice or even stare.

what lies beneath

Written on Wednesday, 26 of March, 2008 at 12:28 pm

I have a list of things I want to buy. Recently, I added a new item to that list: sexy lingerie. This was due to the influence of my friend, who sells the stuff and who also happens to be a collector of different brands of undergarments. Upon seeing my closet, she commented on how my undergarments were way too decent. She also gave me a lecture on how important it is that I be prepared for everything that might happen, including the occasional wardrobe malfunction. I realized the wisdom of her teachings so I simply had to give in.

Nowadays, she’s busy enticing me to join her in her favorite recreational activity, which is all about shopping for undergarments.

Ring ring…

Written on Friday, 8 of February, 2008 at 9:04 pm

Today my friend Mara called and asked me for price quotations on wedding rings. She’ll be getting married this April and is currently swamped with the wedding preparations. I don’t know a thing about rings of that type, since I’m still single and has not yet considered even owning one.

Anyway, I think she chose me for that task since I have access to computers and she knows I like surfing the internet. So I browsed different websites, and looked at their price ranges for different designs and for different materials. I didn’t know it could cost so much! Well, of course the price depends on the metal type, the intricacy of the design used for the ring, and most particularly, the brand. Still, most of them really cost a fortune.

Anyhow, I suggested several simple elegant rings that are not-so-expensive. She’ll be sending the feedback soon…
