Mortgage has pretty much interested me a lot these days. Well, you should know me by now since you’re reading my blog. I am a person who gets amused at the most random and most unusual matters.
Reading these articles about mortgage on the internet got me to thinking about my future. I mean, I can’t really imagine myself talking to mortgage lenders in the near future because my mind is pretty much too occupied with work and helping my family out.
It would be pretty cool to think about myself doing real estate business because for me, real estate is quite a big matter, and I don’t think I can handle it at the moment.

My favorite adage, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, was quoted by the guest speaker during the graduation rites of my sister. The speaker also emphasized that graduation is just the beginning of further studies in another field, the real life situation.
It is therefore expected that every graduate is hoping to get a high paying job soonest. With this the applicants need to make the first single step, that of preparing a good resume so as to impress the human resource officer of the companies they are applying. As for my friend Dianne, she owes a lot in the resume templates she visited on the website. This served as her guide in preparing her resume and this step helped a lot in making her successful.
Today, Dianne is making her real journey in the different parts of the world as a key officer in the business world. And remember, she just took the first single step to begin her journey of a thousand miles.

How much money does it take to put up a small food business? I’ve been wondering about this because of the sad state of the food shops where I have to eat. I am compelled to eat there because they are located nearest our office, and there are no other decent food shops around. The food is simply bad enough that you won’t recognize it unless it has a name tag.
When I save enough money, I plan to set up a food business, preferably near our office so I can eat there instead. I’ll buy a franchise of my favorite roasted chicken. It has this really wonderful taste that’s hard to forget especially when you’re craving for anything chicken. I’m sure it will have lots of customers, particularly those like me who’s always wanted a break from those food shops.

My cousin Abi recently had a new sideline – wholesale fashion jewelry. For a medical student like her who should be concentrating on her acads, I guess selling small items to earn some money to compensate for her luxuries is okay.
At first, she used to sell one type of product which her customers can pay in a month. After earning a little, she added other product types, and then increased her list of products until she was known in her medical class as “Doctor Entrepreneur”. One of her customers’ favorite is the very attractive jewelry with gemstones in different colors. She would buy this fashion jewelry in wholesale in a store that sells it in a cheaper price, and then she would sell it in retail in a higher price packed in attractive containers plus a little charm while advertising to her colleagues.
Abi shared that her customers would even give her tips to earn more… So the cycle continues.

As I’ve mentioned in my earlier post, we were able to close a huge deal with our client. Now all we have to do is ensure that we do our end by providing them with 30 workstations.
For this new setup, we will be buying new computers, and of course, we’ll be setting up the networking. We’re considering on buying a used cisco for our back up internet line in case something happens with our current line. After all, that was the demand of our client – a continuous and fast internet connection. Anyhow, our deadline is on February. Hope we can meet their expectations.

A big prospect client recently visited our office last week for a presentation meeting. Thanks to Audience Response System Rentals, our presentation with them ran smoothly, and even impressed them. In fact, they were so impressed that they decided to have another meeting with us, and we were able to close the deal on that second meeting.
Just so you know, we spent very little time micro-managing the meeting because the company where we rented the audience response system managed it for free! To cap it off, all you have to do to avail of it is select from the price quotes they will provide, and with two clicks, you can instantly place your order. Very stress free, ain’t it?

We’re currently expanding our company to the point of renting another office space in the same building. With the expansion comes the dreaded new workstations expense of course. Generally, this is a problem for most company owners… my boss excluded. Why? Because he has a contact supplier of Bush furniture; meaning lots of savings.
Perks like that goes to show how important networking, establishing and maintaining connections are in a business – strategies I have yet to embrace. I’m not really a people person – unless forced upon by circumstances. Oh well, life is a continuous process of learning. I’ll be able to master those someday.

I just wanted to share with you my uncle’s letter to one of my cousins who ‘s currently studying engineering, aims to be just like him and wanted some advice:
Being an engineer, I recently renovated a building under the
supervision of my assistant engineer. I couldn’t believe that the
cost of the entire renovation was beyond my expectation. The total
cost was very much reduced. In my previous constructions being
supervised by another engineer, it is either a break-even job or I
have to give a portion of what I ought to get. With this very good
result, I asked my assistant how he did it. He simply said, he
attributed the good accomplishment and the savings they made to the
Kaliburn.
The Kaliburn plasma cutting systems can help increase the quality,
productivity and profits. In addition, Kaliburn has superior products
with competitive pricing and best warranties in the industry. Today,
this plasma cutting system is known to be the best cutting tools in
the business.

Human resource is a company’s greatest asset. However, one of the biggest problems in a company is miscommunication between its employees and employers, and even among employees. At times, having an HR department is not enough. This is where having an intranet software becomes handy.
Companies like Epazz provide unique BoxesOS applications that create virtual communities for enhanced communication within a particular company. What I really like best about it is that their applications offer a secure online workspace for users to hold online discussions with other users be they in the next cubicle or in another country.
Should you be interested, Epazz offers a 30-day free trial of their software. All you have to do is contact them to have it setup. Hope this helps improve the work flow of communication in your company!

My partners and I will be having an important meeting sometime early October with a popular clothing line brand who’s considering us for creating their website. We’re planning to rent one of BusinesSuites conference rooms in Columbia. My friend recommended the place and said that BusinesSuites, one of the leaders in the office business center industry, truly lives up to their “Blue Door service” or service that exceeds the expected.
Considering that our October meeting will be a crucial one, availing of one of BusinesSuites conference rooms or perhaps their Columbia Office Space, which also includes a generous variety of professional administrative support services, is definitely a plus in our securing the deal.
