Buying Good Vinyl

As a DJ, probably just as exciting as playing a gig or getting behind a good set of decks is building on your musical arsenal. This is the process of finding songs to play for different situations. There are what are known as “happy accidents” in which you stumble upon a song completely by chance – whether it’s hearing a great song on the radio, at a bar, or on the commute, musical inspiration can be found anywhere.
An important factor during this process is your weapon of choice – CD’s, vinyl or digital? This is not to say, however, that you are restricted to just one or that one is better than the other. In my opinion, if it gets the crowd going, then you’ve done your job. However, I can’t deny that there’s nothing that compares to the warmth of a good vinyl record – no, not vinyl you use on a garage – I once mistook a site involving DuraMax Vinyl Garage Kit 01014 for a site that sells vinyl records. They had some good rates, but none of the tracks I’m looking for. Someone once told me that it’s not about the technical skills you bring to the table, it’s the songs you choose and how you play them.
