a self-confessed obsessive compulsive

I’m a self-confessed obsessive compulsive. It has its good and bad side though. The bad side of it is in relationships. If you’re going to keep obsessing about the tiniest detail, you’d be mistaken as a nagger to the point of being a perfectionist; which tends to be true I guess.

For businesses and projects, being obsessive compulsive can help you a lot especially in areas where you need to be very meticulous such as in web development and programming. A single error can crash your program in a millisecond.

Anyhow, when it comes to my room and my things, I can be pretty obsessive compulsive. It’s more efficient, really. Having a tool storage, box, or cabinet for each type of things and knowing where what is helps me save time in searching for things I need especially in times of emergencies (e.g. you need an alcohol and band aid for the accidental bloody paper cut on your finger). It also gives me a soothing feeling to have some sense of control on my things.

Being obsessive compulsive can be a blessing or a curse. It depends on how you deal with it and use it.
