I just randomly thought of something brilliant. I’m not exactly sure if this has been invented before, but what if there was golf gps software embedded on golf balls it would be easier to keep track of where they end up in when you whack them?
I do know it takes us about twenty minutes just to look for the ball everytime I whack it. I’m the only one in my group of friends who fails at playing golf so much.
Sorry for the randomness, I just try to preoccupy myself with a lot of things to forget about everyone else being able to watch the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie without me.
THIS CANNOT BE THE END OF POTTER! IT JUST CAN’T. IT BREAKS MY HEART. I’ve always been a fan of Harry Potter and wondered why I wasn’t born in London with that beautiful accent. And now they’re all grown up and big and old and beautiful and wonderful! What is this!!

Ooops. I guess the title was a little too dramatic. But hey, the story is dramatic anyway…
It was four years ago when my best friend Hailey started going out with Dick (yep, real name, no pun intended). Dick was Hailey’s first boyfriend. They dated exclusively ever since. They loved each other so much however years after, they seem to do the same old routine over and over. I remember one time when Hailey and I had a talk. She wanted to break out of the boring relationship. She loved her but she misses herself. From her own words she said “I want to be with myself again”.
As a good friend I did not give her options. Instead, I let her list what she thinks would happen if she choose either to break up or not. And so she decided to go for freedom. Months later I asked her about her relationship with Dick. She said she wanted to break up but could not do it. She just do not want to hurt Dick’s feelings.
Yesterday, I received a call from her. She was crying. I asked why and she said that Dick proposed. The shocking part is she said “yes”. It was not even tears of joy. She was crying because she could not say no. Dick proposed on her grandmothers 70th birthday. Everyone in Dick’s family was there. She said when Dick knelt down and showed an engagement ring and an expensive pair of Black diamond earrings she just could not say no.
This time, I felt responsible for what happened. I must tell her to back out. But how?

Six months ago, I bought a netbook, a cheap one. It was one of those China brands with cool specs. Looking at the specs, it was way better than the branded ones. At first the netbook performed great. It booted up quite fast and it played even my 1080p High Definition movies. But then a couple of months after that, it became so sluggish to the point that I did not want to use it anymore. It was either the blue screen of death or the frozen screen.
Since it was still less than a year since I bought it, I decided to bring it back to the store where I purchased it. Unfortunately, no refunds and no replacements too. Well no replacement for other items that is. They replaced my netbook with a brand new one – same model. And so, just like before, I was happy for a month or two. Then as expected, it happened again. I was so sick of the cycle that I gave up and threw my netbook. Actually I gave it to my nephew so basically I threw it away.
So now I learned my lesson. I’ll stick to the branded ones. Though expensive, at least I could have the peace of mind that I never had with the cheap brands. I am now looking into different good brands and looks like the toshiba netbooks
are on the top of my list.

I have always preferred to do things manually than relying on machines and technology to do it for us.
Take riding cabs, for example. In my office, certain employees have this privilege called “tax shields” where we present receipts of certain categories and we get a chance to have a certain amount from these receipts deducted from the amount taken by the income tax.
The categories that were assigned to me were transportation and communication so naturally, I had to collect receipts from cab fares and purchases from gasoline and telephone companies. Everytime I hail a cab and get dropped off somewhere, I now ask them to give me a receipt.
Most of the cabs nowadays have a receipt printer incorporated with their meters, and more often than not, when I ask for receipts, they tell me that their printer is out of ink.
This is precisely why I prefer doing things manually. They could have written me a receipt instead, you know? I’m starting to think that maybe technology isn’t really always that helpful for us.

Have you ever heard of massive multiplayer online role playing games?
I have. I was once addicted to these types of games. The specific game that I spent about ten years of my life playing was Ragnarok. I didn’t play just for the sake of leveling up and getting a lot of gold. I played because I liked the thought of interacting with other people from across the globe, getting to know them and being able to do something with them.
At one point I played too much that I mistook Gold for Cash. My parents began to worry. At first they thought it was just a phase, but I started to ignore the rest of the world and I opted to stay in the house instead of socializing with my friends like any other normal girl would do.
Thanks to that game, I started earning a lot of money and I improved my programming skills. You see, games aren’t too bad if you learn to control yourself.
