My little sister is currently in college and apparently custom laptops are the latest trend. Since she is under a BS Computer Science curriculum, naturally, most of them have laptops or family computers of their own, and with them having to bring their laptops to their laboratory classes most of the time, it’s quite hard to determine which person owns a certain laptop if more than one of them has the same model.
My sister made me come with her while she looked for skins and laptop bags, and I can say the designs are quite amusing. I ended up buying a purple skin and a matching bag myself!
I like adding a little touch of personality to my own things. It kind of expresses who I am and what I like in life, not to mention it makes everything even just a little prettier! Who wouldn’t want that?!

I cannot believe how much I have to do by the time this week ends. I have three projects to finish and three papers to write. I started having canker sores and my room mate told me I started teeth grinding last night, not to mention the blackheads that started popping out of my face!
What kind of home made reliever do you use to relieve your pain from canker sores, and do you have any blackhead remover tool to recommend? I can’t be stressed and look ugly and be under a lot of pain at the same time! That’s not fair!
I tried looking for home made remedies in google, but I don’t know which one to pick, so I’d rather hear from you guys. What kinds of remedies have you tried and did they work? Which ones didn’t?

As weird as it sounds, right now, I want to learn welding. YES, that process of gluing metals, that welding. I was helping my dad search for garage door parts online but I thought that if I know how to weld I can fix it myself. Problem is, welding machines are so huge and we definitely do not have any space for that in the garage.
Upon searching on tutorials on youtube, I came across this video about the “smallest welding machine” just got to this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjPpQKkvjQU. It is a patented invention by a Filipino inventor and the machine is as big as a cucumber (where did that come from?). Anyhow, it is so portable that you can put it in your handbag. I showed it to my dad and even He was surprised. So right then we ordered a portable welding machine online. We postponed looking for the garage door parts first. We’ll try to fix it ourselves first.

I was busy dealing with website issues when I got a message from one of my colleagues saying that a massive earthquake hit Japan and warned people near the Pacific Ocean about possible Tsunami – my country included. I panicked. For some reason I had an eerie feeling that there’s an earthquake in our area as well… I looked up at the office’s Murray Feiss lighting for a quick second just to check that it’s not swaying or anything. It wasn’t.
Having reassured myself that there’s no earthquake in the area, I quickly typed the event in Google for confirmation and saw that a massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean which caused damage with blackouts, fire and tsunami in Northeastern Japan.
A few clicks after, I also saw that certain areas in my country might indeed be hit by a Tsunami as a result of the said earthquake. I immediately got a hold of my phone and forwarded the message to people I care about. I didn’t even notice that the message my colleague sent had a misspelling and the magnitude of the earthquake was wrong until after I have forwarded the message. It doesn’t matter though, what’s important is that I was able to inform them about what happened and have given them a proper warning. Now all I could do was pray that they’re all safe.
During our break, I tried to call my friends in Japan to check how they were. I still don’t have news up to now but I’m hoping that they’re safe.

As an employed person, one of the factors I consider when choosing a company is the work environment. The current state of the office that I am working on affects my mood and performance, overall.
I know it’s a trivial thing, but just a tip to all the employers out there: make sure your working environment is comfortable and eye pleasing. It makes a big difference.
Stress and work are two things that you can’t separate from each other, but with the right office design and environment, stress can be reduced exponentially, thus making your employees more productive and happy.
Take me, for example. I’d prefer working on a place with modern office chairs than one with tiny cubicles and plastic chairs. It would help me feel comfortable while working, thus helping me think and act more efficiently.
Always pay attention to the little things. When combined together they make something big.

Some people think of dreams as signs. Me? well I know they are just random memories. Mostly about things you think about before you sleep. Dreams can really be sooo weird sometimes. Like one time I dreamt that I was watching a Miley Cirus concert with a bunch of friends. The dream was so detailed that I was able to remember the brand of binoculars that I was using – bushnell binoculars. What is weird about this is, I do not even know that brand.
Usually dreams are just pieces of memory patched together by the subconscious mind right? However I really could not remember having any memory of such binoculars. So I tried googling to find out if there is such a brand. To my surprise, there is.
Up to now, the dream still intrigues me. How could something I do not remember be in my dream?

When we were children, grandma used to take us to church and force us to participate in Sunday school. Back then I was not very fond of singing praise songs in school. Especially in front of the class. I remember that I always cried before we leave home. However, there was a point when I finally loved going there although I do not remember what changed my mind.
Time flies so fast. Years passed and here I am, finally teaching in Sunday school. Actually I was forced to be a substitute for my sister because she is in her last month of pregnancy. I have a class of 20 and they seem to like me a lot. I never see anyone crying because I always make them do fun things. On Sunday for instance, I am planning to have an activity to make happy Easter gifts. Children love gifts and I bet they’ll love this activity.
Hmm… I wonder what grandma will say to me if she finds out. I have not told her yet because I wanted to surprise her. I am planning to take class pictures and show all of them to her when I go visit them on Holy week.

My mom recently has been planning to redesign our living room, and has asked me to research on what type of light we should buy for each room.
I, myself, am quite a fan of Murray Feiss lighting, so I showed their products to my mom. She was quite pleased! I guess it’s safe to say we both have the same exquisite taste.
I really am looking forward to getting inside the house and chilling in the living room when my mom is done with the interior design. She told me about some of her plans and all I can say is: I love it.
I guess her age gives her a lot of experience, she got her fair share in traveling around the world, so she has a lot of inspiration and ideas to use.
I look forward to traveling with her someday.
