As I was looking for a Blue Cross Blue Shield health savings account, I stumbled upon photos of the new Philippine Peso bills to be released this month.
I couldn’t help but notice how colourful these bills are, and how I wouldn’t be able to complain about the colours being too hard to determine. (I used to complain about the 1000 peso bill looking like it was colour green when it was in fact blue and most of my friends laughed at me for it.)
Apparently they have more to them than just the designs– my mom told me they were anti-bacterial too. And I really wouldn’t know the specifics on how they managed to do that, but all in all, I love the new bills to be released. What do you think of them?

As I was talking to my friends outside a cafe, the discussion ended up in a debate on why Dutch Master cigars is better than most cigar brands out there, and I’ve learned quite a couple of things about it.
Apparently the brand started in 1911, and its packaging contains the Staalmeesters. It has varieties like Belvedere, Honey Sports, Perfecto, President.
I found the names of the varieties quite amusing, too. And given the recommendations I got from my experienced smoking friends, I might actually give it a shot someday.
In other news, I am seriously craving for coffee. Coffee and cigars are definitely the best match for me.
What do you like to do when you smoke? Do you have some sort of smoking ritual that you can’t do without?

For anyone interested in buying a printer, here are some tips to get you started.
First off, the brand. In general, good brands make good printers. However there are four best brands so you still have four options if you narrow your search using brands. Epson, HP, Canon, and Brother are some of the usual brands you will see for consumer level printers. For this, it is better to choose the brand with the best warranty. Printers often have a year warranty but some brands extend this to two years. This is a better deal since you will at least be sure that you will have a working printer for two years.
Second tip, the usage. Yep, even if they tell you that printers are multi purpose, some are more inclined to photos or text documents than others. Some printers have dye based inks, which are economic and relatively quick drying. These types of inks are best for text documents. Some on the other hand are pigment based. These inks are waterproof making them longer lasting, especially great for photos. Some still have the ribbon inks although these are only used for carbon receipts.
Third, the cartridge. The printers ink cartridges are one of the key things to consider when getting a printer. For document intensive usage, choose the printer with cheap cartriges. When I say cheap, I mean, cost to number of printed pages ratio. For photos, choose printers with separate color cartiges as this is more efficent.
There ya go. Just some tips to get you going on your printer shopping.

More often than note, I find it difficult to choose what to buy for my friends during Christmas seasons. I usually resort to online suggestions, or typical gifts like handkerchiefs or shirts.
I made it a point to write down what I think people need from then on. If I see someone whose wallet is broken, I write it down on my tiny notepad. This way I don’t have too much trouble picking out what I should buy for my friends.
I wanted an ipod touch this year, for myself at least, so I wasn’t really able to buy my friends the gifts that I listed down on my tiny notebook, but I’ll be sure to save up and get them these gifts next year.
How do you pick out which gifts you want to buy for your friends?

I started this freelance web development service a month ago, but only a few clients made calls. Seems like small companies are not very fond of the java programming language.
Being a Java web developer is a big challenge. First you have the different third party frameworks, which are quite handy but very difficult to implement if you are inexperienced. Then you have the web hosting issue. Java applications run on Java servers which are not very common compared to apache PHP servers. Also, applications may need special server configurations which makes java web hosting more expensive. So since one of the problems is big expenses, another problem is expected. Less clients.
Fortunately, new webhosting companies are offering cheap dedicated hosting packages. So problem 2 and 3 are already solved. I just need to find a good way to advertise my services so I can gain more clients.

My friends kidnapped me a few days back to go Black Friday shopping with them.
I can say that I sure spent a lot of money on those shops, just because I knew that I wouldn’t get deals that cheap, at least not for another year.
It has been a habit of mine to save up and splurge on that one day of the year (aside from Cyber Monday, of course). I normally just put the things I want down on a list and cross them out one by one as I buy each and every one of them.
This list normally helps me out in remembering what I’m actually saving up for, since I’m a person with a short attention span and I forget everything most of the time.
What kind of deals have you gotten this year?

A friend of mine asked me to buy him a tumbler for Christmas. I couldn’t find any decent ones, so I found myself looking at custom travel mugs while I was searching for it.
I normally only give Christmas presents to people that ask. I know it’s the gift-giving season, but I don’t really have the money to buy everyone I know gifts.
I have this habit of writing down what people need whenever I hang out with them, so I don’t have to worry about what kind of presents I should buy if ever I decide to buy someone a present.
What do you normally do to keep track of what presents to get to your friends? Share it through comments! I’m sure there are others who need your help, too.

When I was seventeen, my mom noticed that my hips weren’t symmetrical. She had me checked and the doctor recommended me to get an x-ray.
The results showed that I have mild scoliosis, and I went through therapy. I had to leave to get an university dorm, however, so our therapist taught me some tricks to prevent the scoliosis to get even more complicated.
One of the methods was to get a pull up bar and just hang my arms there so my spinal column can be stretched. She also taught me to do some stretches every night to prevent any complications.
These exercises actually helped me to become quite the contortionist, it’s quite amusing.
To prevent scoliosis, make sure you don’t carry objects that are too heavy. Refrain from sling bags, and choose backpacks instead. Don’t be like me! Prevention is always better than cure.
