If you are very active in the gym yet you still eat too much fat, your weight loss program will most likely fail. So why not try another method? One which lets you eat everything you can yet do less in the gym. Excited? Here they are – Nature’s best diet pills, Cranberries and Citrus fruits.
Obviously, they are not really diet pills, but they are the best supplements you can possibly take with high efficacy yet no risk of adverse side effects. Cranberries and citrus fruits have natural acids that breakdown fat in the body. This includes fats in the lining of the digestive system. Also they help reduce cholesterol in the blood reducing the risk for heart attacks and stroke.
Fruit diet has always been regarded as a safe form of diet. You can try eating just fruits and see what happens after a week. Some people instantly feel lighter, some will have diarrhea – which is a sign that your body is detoxifying. Anyhow, It only takes some patience but the results will certainly pay off.

Being “festively plump”, as Eric Cartman of South Park puts it, my brother’s belly has often been the object of our teasing affection occasionally over dinner and family gatherings. I think it’s getting to him finally since for the past few months, he’s been doing all sorts of things to find the best way to lose belly fat. From slimming tea to protein diet, to just regular jogging, he’s done it all – quite unsuccessfully though.
You see, the problem is, it’s very hard for him to say no to buffet and meat. In short, controlling his appetite is his waterloo. Anyway, I hope he finds THE solution to his belly dilemma soon.

My colleague’s grandmother died yesterday at 2 p.m. out of old age. Although they have been expecting the death, it was still quite painful for my colleague, especially since that grandmother was the one who took care of her in her parents’ stead when she was still young.
Clad in my Dansko shoes and Dolce & Gabbana coat, I charged the pouring rain first hour this morning just to be able to go to the wake and extend my condolences personally, and in behalf of my department as well. When I arrived at the wake, my colleague’s family, her mom in particular, was quite surprised to see me. It was a pleasant surprise for her, actually. You see, I woke up at 5 a.m. and traversed several towns to go there.
While meditating on my way to the wake, I recalled Mignon McLaughlin from The Neurotic’s Notebook, 1960, “The death of someone we know always reminds us that we are still alive – perhaps for some purpose which we ought to re-examine.”
Yep, we have to be grateful for each day that we wake up into and do our best to live happily for that day. After all, as Norman Cousins aptly put it,
“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us
while we live.”
Carpe diem. Sieze the day.

“It’s another three-day weekend!” I screamed while jumping up and down with glee on the phone when my friend Dianne informed me this morning that September 7, Monday, is a non-working holiday.
After our conversation, I immediately grabbed a pen and paper and started listing my “possible relaxing getaways”. Vegas vacations was definitely on top of my list. Next comes the spa, and third was pure, undisturbed sleep at my family rest house.
Going over my budget, I had to write off Vegas, and, after watching a disturbing news about a girl dying in the spa’s Jacuzzi through improper maintenance last July 31 – the same spa I went into just this August 27 – I decided to write it off as well. Which leaves me with undisturbed sleep…
Cool. ^_^ It’s definitely the cheapest and most relaxing way to spend my three-day weekend. Have fun everyone!

I have been going through the list of my recent activities for the past few months and for some reason, nothing seems to fall under the fulfillment house. Is it me or is it just because I’m depressed?
I remember Pierre, my sister’s friend whom I met last August 25. During the course of our conversation, we got into asking for our first impressions or observations. He shared that based from our stories for the past two hours, he finds that I actually have every reason to be happy, but I’m not. Pierre also gave lots of advice and shared several of his experiences that Anne and I might be able to relate to – from the importance of having a pure heart, to how to be organized and free-spirited at the same time.
After that talk, I remembered my friend Mark saying the exact same thing about me – I have every reason to be happy, but I’m not. I decided to delve more into myself to check what’s the cause of my unhappiness… and I remembered Pierre’s advice on the importance of living in the now and cherishing each moment as if it was your last… that you can only do that when you’re with a person if you forget or do not compare your current experience with what you had with that person in the past, AND if you do not have any expectations of that person in the future. If I’m able to do that, then, and only then will I be able to sever myself from the bonds of suffering and being unhappy.
Since I was in elementary, one of my favorite mantra is Carpe Diem. That worked for me and I was happy. I didn’t realize that I have gradually turned my back on it until August 25. I forgot how to cherish each moment, I kept comparing it to the past and I kept looking forward to the future…
Having realized it now, I just wish I’ll be able to gradually be genuinely happy again and seize the day, as if it is my last. As Pope Paul VI wonderfully phrased it,
“Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.”
