Recently, my friends and I have been playing the “Rock Band” game in Xbox. I am actually addicted to it, considering that I’m not very fond of instruments. In this game, players get to be a part of a band – Guitarist, bassist, drummer and even vocalist. My friends and I do a rotation so everyone can try each instrument.
I loved the drums so much that I’m planning to buy a drum set this month. Drums in the malls seem too expensive for me so I guess I’ll just browse in some free online auctions sites. Ebay is not that great anymore because sellers charge higher prices because ebay gets some cut for its profit. This is why free online auctions sites are becoming more popular these days. I already contacted a seller and I’ll be meeting him next week to test the drums. I’m a newbie so I’ll let my drummer friend tag along. Wish me luck!

I’m betting a hundred bucks you will not believe what I am going to tell you. My friend just revived his dead mother board using a pressure washer! In case you don’t know, pressure washers are the water sprayer used for carwashing. Anyhow, his mainboard was already out of warranty when it stopped working. Out of curiousness (or just plain stupidity) he thought that the board might just be dirty, so he sprayed it with water and soap. After rinsing it, he dried it thoroughly using pressurized air.
He allowed it to dry and connected it to the power supply unit. Then it actually worked! I thought he was making fun of me at first, until he showed the video of what he did. It is true. Doing some research, I found out that many people already did that. An engineer friend of mine told me that sometimes, even a speck of dust can cause a circuit to malfunction. So sometimes cleaning will work. Also he said that electronic parts are waterproof. For as long as the motherboard is completely dried up, the circuitry will work just the same. Anyhow, feel free to comment on this. Sarcastic remarks will gladly be accepted.

I know I’m still young but I opted to apply for an online life insurance
early on this year. It basically covered everything that you can think of when it involves your life getting insured and I’m relived that I had my grandmother on the downline. She got hospitalized 3 weeks ago because she tripped while tending to our garden. And it resulted to a serious injury of the spine. Luckily the insurance will cover everything that needs to have done so she can be well again. Thank God I got my insurance and didn’t even think twice about getting it.

Last night I had the weirdest dream. It started with me looking at the night sky, then my eyes slowly went down and started looking at the steel buildings. Then I looked down and everyone I saw was made out of steel and machine. I saw a small pool of water and I looked at myself and I saw that even I was a machine myself. Apparently I was a mechanical girl in a mechanical world. I could not feel anything in the dream partly probably because in my head I know that robots don’t really feel anything. It was probably one of my oddest and weirdest dreams. I was partly scared of what it meant. After all dreams is a product of our subconscious.

It’s been a while since I made a blog post because I have been busy with my work. A programmer’s job is really fun, until you realized that you already lost your social life. A big project is a big project when talking in IT terms. Most of the times, we work 14 hours a day just to finish the software and it really sucks the life out of you.
I and my colleagues love our job, but the thing is, everyone deserves a better life. Yes the pay is good but what’s the money for if you don’t have time to spend with your family. So we decided to just put up a business. We thought that the best home based business for us is micro scale outsourcing which is already becoming more popular with freelancers. With this, small companies can avail of our programming services and we could do the programs at home. We still are in the planning stage but we are optimistic that this will give us the break we deserve.
