picture perfect

Writing by wisteria on Saturday, 8 of March, 2008 at 11:03 pm

Today I received some nice pictures from my aunt who lives in Colorado. She sent it to me by email because that’s a faster way to send letters and pictures nowadays, instead of through post delivery. Anyway, I asked her for some printed pictures also so I can include it in our family albums. This is mainly for the benefit of my mother, who likes documenting just about everything.

You should see those pictures! I really liked the wonderful colors of the landscape pictures… My aunt had them taken when she visited this place somewhere in Colorado. She said she wanted to buy some Winter Park real estate so she simply had to go there. Good for her!

the crib of the generation

Writing by wisteria on Thursday, 6 of March, 2008 at 11:14 am

Last year, my Mom was not able to attend the wedding ceremony of my cousin Lalaine. As such, when the invitation for Lalaine’s love child’s baptism was received, all the members of the family came to welcome the newborn to the Christian world.

What caught my Mom’s attention at the residence of my cousin was the baby crib with similar features to that of Emily crib, I saw at the website. This is the crib made 28 years ago, by my grandfather, who was an expert carpenter. Mom recalled that she requested grandpa to make this crib for my brother. Since then, the crib has been transferred from home to home where there is a newborn in the family. My two younger sisters and I had used this crib of the generation too.

the wonderful world of cars

Writing by wisteria on Saturday, 1 of March, 2008 at 8:29 am

I talked to my brother and his friend who often hangs out at our house one day and I found out a lot about cars. You see, they both love cars - more than they love people! Not really, but hey! You get the point.

They shared their opinions about the different pros and cons of various cars. I noticed that they both are impressed with the Mustang because I have heard nothing but advantages of that car from them! Most of the other cars have a lot of disadvantages in their opinion. So they recommended it to me and they showed me the wonderful world of the Mustang. In my opinion, they should write a Mustang blog and earn lots of money with their knowledge on that car!

I don’t really know much about cars and I’m pretty much not interested in that area but after that talk with them, not only am I impressed with their vast knowledge on the topic but my interest in cars also increased. I usually thought of cars as masculine stuff, and that I shouldn’t think or be interested in that topic. So all this time, I thought that knowing how to drive is simply what I should focus my attention on. I never thought of cars the way my brother and his friend did. With this simple talk I had with them, I learned how to be open to different ideas since knowledge on a lot of things may be helpful to me in the future.
