I am a huge fan of pearls. For me, pearl accessories are classic – it can go with just about everything. From elegant parties and tea gathering, to just mall hopping or even a business meeting, one can never go wrong with pearls.
In fact, a simple pearl earring, unadorned with diamonds or precious stones, is enough to lighten up and enhance one’s face. It’s a must have in your basic checklist of accessories.
For me, majority of my accessories consist of Akoya pearls. My favorite is my three-layered customized floating pearl necklace. It’s simple, yet dainty enough to make people glance twice or even stare.

One evening my Dad, who is a walking history book was viewing a documentary film on the lives of the former United States First Ladies. My attention was caught, when the narrator mentioned that one of the well-known first ladies gave her teenage daughter weight loss pills to maintain her figure.
I also recalled what my cousin told me regarding the school where his 5-year old son is studying. In the said school, the pupils have to maintain the standard weight. An overweight child is sent home and parents are advised to help their child attain the standard weight for him/her to be back to school.
It is best to train the person to do right at an early age. Thus, the famous adage says, “Charity begins at home”. As such, being health conscious should start at home. The love and care should be felt by the family members from the food being served on the table and the family bonding activities and exercises they do to maintain their health. If we want our children and ourselves to be happy, let us bear in mind, Health is Wealth.

I have a list of things I want to buy. Recently, I added a new item to that list: sexy lingerie. This was due to the influence of my friend, who sells the stuff and who also happens to be a collector of different brands of undergarments. Upon seeing my closet, she commented on how my undergarments were way too decent. She also gave me a lecture on how important it is that I be prepared for everything that might happen, including the occasional wardrobe malfunction. I realized the wisdom of her teachings so I simply had to give in.
Nowadays, she’s busy enticing me to join her in her favorite recreational activity, which is all about shopping for undergarments.

I studied in a Catholic School and we were taught of the seven deadly sins - envy, pride, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. I learned also about the venial sins, which are relatively minor sins and these can be forgiven.
Recently, the Vatican updated its thou-shalt-not list. Now, the mind-damaging drugs and genetic experiments are included in the “new sins”. Monsignor Gianfranco Girotti, the head of the Apostolic Penitentiary, cited these sins “violate the basic rights of human nature” through genetic manipulation and the drugs that “weaken the mind and cloud intelligence.
Therefore, more attention should be given to the problems on drugs and the victims should have drug treatment soonest. The church and the state together with the community should work together to address this menace of the world.

There are a lot of materials available to be used as floor coverings in buildings. Examples of these materials are the carpet, laminate, area rugs, resilient flooring, wood flooring, ceramic tile, stone, terrazzo, and the seamless chemical flooring. (Thanks, Wikipedia!)
What intrigues me the most is the tile. It’s stereotypically used on comfort rooms or washrooms, but nowadays, you see it everywhere! We even use it as our floor covering here in our house. There are even varieties which include the quarry, porcelain, terra cotta and others. You wouldn’t have to worry about looking at a boring floor since it’s available in a lot of designs.
I thought it was boring and all since I used to think stereotypically of it, I thought it would only look good on washrooms. Turns out, I was wrong! Who would have thought that tiles would also look good on living rooms and bedrooms?

I conquered Kneeboarding on my first attempt last March 21! ^_^ Amazing.
My cousins and I for the first time, went on a long trip to the watersports complex in my dad’s province without “adults” (defined as aunts, uncles, and parents in this context) to try out wakeboarding. For beginners and first-timers like me, it is advised that you start first with knee boarding. Most of us, my brother included, conquered kneeboarding in our first attempt.
After getting the hang of it, Mary (one of my cousins) and I decided to try double skis, while some of my cousins tried wake boarding. They were unsuccessful attempts, but nonetheless exhilarating. It was worth splashing and tumbling down to the water.
We also found out after three hours of knee boarding and attempting other water sports that we ought to do some strength training before going for a half-day rate at the watersports complex. Our arms and shoulders were hurting and we weren’t even halfway our half-day rate. The cashier did warn us to purchase only the hourly-rate…
Anyhow, it was so much fun that we’re thinking of getting a strength equipment to keep us in shape for the next trip where we try to conquer the world of wakeboarding, slalom, and double skis. ^_^

This is a very good day for me because I finally got my finances in order. That is, after months of agonizing about which needs have to be paid first, how much budget remains and for how long it will last, what not to buy, how to save more, etc.
For some reason, my salary came on time, and so I was able to pay all my bills and most of my debts on time also. I put some of the remaining money in my savings account, and now I still have money left to buy one luxury item. Unfortunately, the money’s not enough to buy a replacement for my old viewsonic monitor. I’ll have to wait until next month’s salary comes.

How much money does it take to put up a small food business? I’ve been wondering about this because of the sad state of the food shops where I have to eat. I am compelled to eat there because they are located nearest our office, and there are no other decent food shops around. The food is simply bad enough that you won’t recognize it unless it has a name tag.
When I save enough money, I plan to set up a food business, preferably near our office so I can eat there instead. I’ll buy a franchise of my favorite roasted chicken. It has this really wonderful taste that’s hard to forget especially when you’re craving for anything chicken. I’m sure it will have lots of customers, particularly those like me who’s always wanted a break from those food shops.

It’s almost March 31. This means I either need to double my effort in preparing to lose weight, or saving up to lose my bet with my officemate Grace.
Frankly, based from my depression hormones these past few days which has been sending me into a languid state, there’s a 50% chance that my current weight will just be the same until the 31st. Then again, I’ve been so swamped with work especially with the critical period in our company that I have been working during breaks and foregoing my snacks (imagine that!). Hmmmm… will keep you posted.

Drug-users are everywhere! You can see them in the hidden alleys, secluded bars, or some random guy’s basement! I think this is becoming a threat to our society. Parents should be aware of what their children are doing!
If you find out that your son/daughter is a drug-user, do your part in making the world a better place and take him/her to one of the best drug treatment centers. These centers are very useful, and they don’t FORCE your children to stop using drugs and turn them into rebelling monsters.
Most rehabilitation centers have a good atmosphere, and they calm the senses. Not only do they treat drug-users, but also eating disorders, depression, and many more! If you’re good at choosing, you might even get a paradise on Earth! They might even forget that they’re in a rehabilitation center! They would learn a lot on that experience. Your children would thank you for sending them to a rehabilitation center someday.
