“An l shaped office desk!” my sister enthusiastically suggested when I asked what type of desk I ought to add on my Furniture Home Office list for my space in the province. I checked out some designs, saw this gorgeous table with solid wood, unique starburst design, and Laptop plug-in ports in desk’s top; indeed, an L-shaped computer desk is the best type of desk for me.
Falling in love with the computer desk, I decided to browse some more in Furniturefromhome.com and found other lovely bedroom furniture and Living Room Furniture. Gosh, I really ought to start working my ass off to be able to replace our current worn out furniture with these elegant ones.

My youngest sister is currently in her senior year in high school. Though she’s on top of her class, she wanted to make sure that she’ll pass the entrance exams of the most prestigious schools that offer Chemical Engineering.
To prepare for the standardized college entrance examinations, she decided to enroll in Club Z!’s one-on-one study programs. In case you don’t know, Club Z! is a tutoring service who does not only limit their teaching to the usual reading, writing and arithmetic such as Algebra Tutoring, but also teaches their students time management skills, test-taking tips and strategies.
According to my sister, the best part of their program is that she learned how to overcome test-taking anxiety and “freezing” on tests. Still, availing of tutoring services does not ensure that you will pass the exam. Tutoring is just a lever to help you pass; the rest is still up to you. God bless to the upcoming college students!

While canvassing on online language courses, I encountered a social networking website wherein teachers and students from all over the world can actually mingle. The website’s name is mingle only with a “Y” – mYngle.com. It is a free avenue for language teachers and students wherein one can choose your own teacher or student depending on your specific needs, availability and price.
It generally “offers a solution by providing both students and teachers in different locations with a complete online language instruction platform, containing all resources needed for synchronous e-learning.” What’s I like about this program is that students can opt to avail of a demo lesson with your selected teacher before you have to pay anything. This will definitely save you a lot of cash and ensure that you will really get what you paid for. I might try it one of these days…

My friend recently broke up with her boyfriend of three years. Her boyfriend said that he had fallen out of love with her since early this year and has been trying to work things out to no avail, that’s why he only announced the situation just now – through a goodbye letter. She was stunned and confused. How is it possible for someone to fall out of love, still be able to pretend that everything is fine and dandy for several months, and then say his goodbye over a letter? That’s way unethical and inconsiderate.
Then she found out that there was a third party. Devastated as she is right now, I comforted her and told her that it’s okay to mull over and be miserable about it, and that she ought to take her time in recovering.
I also reminded her though that when I say take her time, she shouldn’t let the situation swallow her whole. A break up is a very powerful blow. But it is up to you if you will let it consume you or use it as a stepping stone to be a stronger person. As Groucho Marx nicely put it:
I, not the events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

A lot of people would love to spend their holidays abroad. Who wouldn’t? With only a few days for a holiday, you might as well go out of the country and get to experience what the other half of the world is doing. Still, not everyone could avail of a trip abroad because the cost of the entire trip (airfares, accommodation, city tours, etc.) can burn a huge hole on your savings.
On the other hand, you can always opt for self catering holidays. That is, instead of staying in a hotel and eating hotel-prepared dishes, you avail of self catering holiday apartments where you can cook, eat, drink, and do whatever you want without worrying about the huge bill and getting too drunk because you bought the stuff straight from the grocery store and you’re on your own turf (temporarily anyway).
With this, you do not only get to save on your holiday expense, you also get to save on your “spending money” abroad and even experience local culture. How? Instead of eating in the same hotel restaurant every night, you get to sample all the local restaurants prized dishes, interact with the natives, and perhaps even meet new friends.
So next time you think of going on a holiday, don’t constrain your option to the usual expensive all-inclusive holidays. Be more daring and try a self catering holiday. After all, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. (Helen Keller)”

I recently watched a true-to-life story on TV about a guy who cheated on his wife to the extent of having the mistress live in their dream house and assume the wife’s role to their children. The wife only found out about this when she returned home after working abroad for several years to pay off their mortgage and to save enough cash to put up a small business in her hometown.
She was devastated. Still, she fought for her husband because she loved her children and they both owe it to their children to make their marriage work. After several horrid ordeals from the sly mistress, she was successful. It took her a long time though to recover, as expected, and it was only after 12 years that she was able to finally get the chip off her shoulder, forgive the mistress, and be decisively happy.
This is a sheer example that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage. There will always be problems within the relationship. It is a matter of settling your differences in an adult manner and accepting the fact that marriage life is not all honey and romance. Marriage involves falling in love with your wife or husband several times. And these kiss-and-make-up events make your relationship sweeter and more concrete.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), generally has two main goals: a) to consistently drive targeted volumes of organic search traffic to a particular website, and b) to make sure that the conversion rate is high.
There are various ways and there are no fixed rules to be able to achieve those. Still, there are guidelines which can help, such as Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. One key to achieving those goals, according to Google, is to “make your site easily accessible.” You can do this by creating static copies of dynamic pages because not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages.
Then again, creating well-optimized static pages is very difficult. That’s why I was ecstatic to find out that there’s a White Hat SEO Software that makes creating static pages as smooth and as painless as possible - Static Page Builder. To know how it works, I suggest you browse over the Static Page Builder FAQs section.

Funny, I was already amazed at the fact that people actually do play with real money online via poker websites. I was flabbergasted to know that there are actually poker tools for online poker players. Imagine that! Poker tools. Weird.
Then again, I am a card game addict (just not online) and I enjoy winning (who doesn’t?). So I guess I’m not in the position to find websites putting up poker tools weird. In case you’re interested to get your hands on tools like “Hold’em Poker Odds Calculator” and the “New Table Shark table selection tool” for free, all you have to do is sign up for a new account at Pacific Poker or Titan Poker and play the required number of hands.

At the start of “ber” months (SeptemBER, OctoBER, etc.) everyone in my family starts creating our Christmas wish list. Then sometime October, we post them on the refrigerator in hopes that someone will buy them for us as presents on our exchange gifts during Christmas eve.
My sister Ruth is a huge fan of The Chemical Brothers. As expected, a CD of the band’s latest album ‘We Are The Night’ was on her unfinished Christmas wish list, including their new single ‘The Salmon Dance’. I’m feeling a bit generous this year. Since I rarely get to see Ruth because she moved in with her best friend so she could be near her school, I think I’ll make her the recipient of my unusual generosity this year. I’ll buy two Concert Tickets to Chemical Brothers’ tour on December 15 at Carling Academy Brixton, London (one’s for me of course).
I’m planning to buy the Tickets online via Viagogo.co.uk – an online ticket hub for concert tickets, Sports Tickets, arts and theatre tickets and other exclusive event tickets in Europe. According to one of my friends, transactions with that website are guaranteed to be safe and secure, plus they deliver tickets promptly with online tracking.
My sister will definitely faint with pure bliss when she finds out about this! I just hope she doesn’t visit my blog anytime soon or my Christmas surprise will be ruined.

I accidentally came across Park West Art Gallery while helping my sister Anne with her thesis about Art Magazines. It’s a fascinating service-friendly gallery wherein you can find unique and meaningful artwork, sports memorabilia and cultural artifacts. The gallery does not only showcase those stuff, they also conduct fine art auctions throughout the United States and Canada.
According to their website, over 6000 works of art each week are cataloged, photographed, custom framed, and carefully checked and registered before leaving their facilities to be distributed to locations worldwide so they will be included in auctions and exhibitions. What sets it apart is that unlike many galleries or auction companies, Park West typically collects works before selling them.
For those interested in visiting the place, the gallery’s located in Southfield, Michigan and it’s open on Mon-Wed 10am-6pm, Thu-Fri 10am-9pm, and Sat-Sun 11am-6pm.
