Did you know that modern technology and scientific advancement, whose products have helped us in multitude ways, have also contributed to our increasing health problems?
Yep. It’s true. These advances that provide us powerful tools and bring a number of benefits do have some drawbacks on our health. Examples of the increasing problems concerning mental and physical health are the increase of mental stress and the decrease in opportunities for regular or daily physical activity.
Consequently, the need and demand for health care programs also arises. So does the demand for people with health care knowledge.
Nowadays, having a degree, non-degree certificate or diploma programs in health care education will give you a definite advantage in seizing and securing a respectable and high-compensated job (compensation both in terms of monetary and emotional value). If you’re interested in getting quality health care education, visit www.selectmedicalschools.com. They not only offer programs designed to ensure that you get to compete and maintain entry-level positions; they also provide class schedules for both working and non working adults.
Don’t just stand there and let technology control you. Educate yourself so that you can control technology and be able to use it to help resolve great health care dilemmas.

Education does not stop when you receive your high school or college diploma. Life is a continuous learning process. As Edward Albert Filene affirmed, “If a man’s education is finished, he is finished.”
In this highly competitive era where “survival of the fittest” is the main theme, equipping yourself with proper or further education will give you a definite edge and even boost your confidence in every aspect. “But I’m on a tight schedule,” you reason out. Just so you know, this type of excuse is no longer plausible. A lot of schools nowadays, such as Collins College, are offering a virtual campus setup wherein you have the freedom to take certain courses at any time of the day.
Given the availability of online classes, and the fact that knowledge updates is an undeniably great asset, I suggest you start searching online for a course and schedule that will be suitable in increasing your market value and enhancing your skills.
Do keep in mind that, “Education is only a ladder to gather fruit from the tree of knowledge, not the fruit itself (Francois Marie Arouet, Voltaire).” Whether you will benefit from it or not depends on how you will use it.

Monologue. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear that word is The Vagina Monologues.
The Vagina Monologues is based from the Eve Ensler’s ‘Vagina Interviews’ conducted with 200 women from around the world. It tackles serious women’s issues in the society but with somewhat funnier monologues that are usually delivered by three actresses. The recurring theme throughout this episodic play is, “the vagina as a tool of female empowerment, and the ultimate embodiment of individuality.”
Because of its highly controversial theme, it has been criticized by several groups such as the gender egalitarian and individualist feminist movements. Nevertheless, it has thrived and even became a success. In fact, since 1998, this play has become the cornerstone of the V-Day movement internationally. That is, worldwide, participants of this movement stage benefit performances of the show each year, generally from February to March 8 (International Women’s Day).
If you haven’t seen Eve Ensler’s Obie-award-winning play or even read the book, I recommend that you do one or both. This collection of witty and moving tales should not be missed.

From tuna, chicken, beef & potato, to Enchilada recipes, you’ve seen, smelled, tasted, cooked, and probably even touched a casserole dish. But how much do you really know about it?
After several years of eating casserole, I decided to do some research and found some fascinating tips and facts:
- The word casserole (kasa-rol) is derived from the Old French word casse and the Latin word cattia meaning a “frying pan or stew pan”.
- The culinary term en casserole, which is also from French, means “served in the vessel used for cooking”.
- Since cooking a casserole can range from 25 minutes to two hours, consider using dried herbs in dishes which require longer cooking (more than an hour) rather than delicate fresh herbs which tend to lose their flavor when exposed to extended periods of high heat.
- If you are not sure about the capacity of your casserole pan or pot, you can check it by measuring water and pouring it in the pan.
- If your casserole is bland, try adding one of these ingredients: Worcestershire Sauce, powdered mustard,
or a dash of hot pepper sauce.
- One of the best things about casseroles is that they can be made anytime, stored in the freezer, and reheated whenever you need them. So make two, and freeze the second for later.
- Most casseroles can be frozen two to three months.
- Most frozen casseroles do not need to be thawed before reheating.
- The best containers for freezing casseroles are glass and hard plastic containers as well as plastic bags for freezer use. This is because they provide a barrier to moisture and evaporation.
Whatever casserole you’re into, I’m sure you’ll find this information worth your while. Enjoy cooking!

Window shopping on a nearby mall, I saw this large, peculiar text on an ad that read, “Learn to be Funny”. One eyebrow raised, I peered closely and just below it are some tips on “How to be Funny” and “How to be Witty.”
It’s interesting to know that there are people who actually want to be funny. Witty, I’d understand, but funny?! Then again, as the 1947 movie goes, “It Pays to Be Funny”. Consider this, we all love people who make us laugh. And on occurrences like Public Speeches and a tense gathering or meeting, adding humor is very advantageous because it actually breaks down barriers so that your audience is more open to your tips and ideas.
Thus, being able to be really funny is a massive advantage in life. Do keep in mind that being funny isn’t the same as acting funny.
